When we get to heaven, we are going to spend eternity praising the Lord. We will sing, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing” (Revelation 5:12). We will be offering Him a doxology with every celestial breath and in every heavenly moment.

So when we are overwhelmed with the truth of God’s goodness in this life and burst forth in praising Him, we are practicing for eternity.

*Tinanong nila si Jesus, “Guro, kailan po mangyayari iyon? At ano ang magiging palatandaang iyon ay magaganap na?”
Sumagot si Jesus, “Mag-ingat kayo upang hindi kayo mailigaw ninuman! Marami ang darating sa aking pangalan at magsasabi, ‘Ako ang Cristo,’ at, ‘Dumating na ang panahon!’ Huwag kayong maniniwala sa kanila. Huwag kayong mababagabag kung makabalita man kayo ng mga digmaan at mga rebelyon. Dapat munang mangyari ang mga iyon subalit hindi darating kaagad ang wakas.” At sinabi pa niya, “Maglalaban-laban ang mga bansa at magdidigmaan ang mga kaharian. Magkakaroon ng malalakas na lindol, taggutom at mga salot sa iba't ibang dako. May lilitaw na mga kakila-kilabot na bagay at mga kamangha-manghang kababalaghan buhat sa langit. - Luke 21:7-11(RTPV)

That compassion finds its fullest expression in the Person and work of Jesus Christ—God in human flesh. The incarnation itself was an expression of sympathy and identification with our weakness (Hebrews 4:15). In Christ we can see countless expressions of divine compassion translated into human displays that we easily understand and identify with—including sadness, sympathy, and tears of sorrow.

If you're a true Christian, I want you to be overwhelmed with assurance. And I'm not saying you have to live a perfect life to be sure you're saved, and I'm not saying if ever you fall into sin, whoops, well you might not be saved.

What I'm saying is if you love God, and hate sin, and long to obey, that's the evidence of regenerate life.

God gave us a book, and in that book He spoke, and what He said is exactly what He wanted to say and He desired to say it in a way that we would understand it, because we are accountable for it. God has spoken, and He has not mumbled, and He has spoken clearly, and He has spoken precisely, and exactly, and directly to the matters that concern Him and concern us. And God has sworn in His revelation, the holy Bible, that He has spoken the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
