We Love YOU PO !

We are to always respect our elders whether or not if it’s our parents. One day you will grow up and be respected by younger people just like them. Take the time to listen to their experiences and wisdom to grow in knowledge.

Never forget to take care of your elders helping them with what they need and always be gentle showing loving kindness.

Quote

Respect your elders. They made it through school without Google or Wikipedia.

Listen to them. Listen to stories about their life.
Be patient with them and be a friend.

Honor them

Leviticus 19:32 “”Stand up in the presence of the elderly, and show respect for the aged. Fear your God. I am the LORD.

The Five Ws of Prayer (S4K)

Theme:Prayer

Object: A newspaper
Scripture:Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. James 5:16 (NIV)

Every morning I read the newspaper to keep up with what is going on in the world. Do you ever read the newspaper? Did you know that the people who write the stories for the newspaper have a special way of deciding how to write their story? Well, here is what the reporter does. To make sure that the facts of the story are complete, a reporter makes sure that the article answers five important questions. Those five questions are: Who, What, When, Where, and Why. When we read a story, it is good for us to ask ourselves those same questions to help us fully understand the story.
Today, we are going to read some verses from the Bible. These verses were written by James, the brother of Jesus. In these verses, James is teaching about prayer. After we finish, let's see if we can answer the who, what, when, where, and why questions about prayer. (Read James 5:13-16)
Well, let's see if we can answer the five questions about prayer.

• Who should pray? Anyone! These verses tell us that anyone who needs God's help or anyone who has received God's blessing should pray -- and that is all of us.
• What should we pray about? Anything! We should pray for healing when we are sick and for forgiveness from sin. We should offer prayers of thanks when we are happy, and ask for help in times of trouble.
• When should we pray? Anytime! If we should pray when we are in trouble, when we are sick, when we are happy, or when we have sinned, that is just about any time, isn't it?
• Where should we pray? Anywhere! These verses don't come right out and tell us where we should pray, but I figured it out. If we should pray any time we need God's help, then I guess it just makes sense that we should pray anywhere we are, because wherever we are, God is there!
• Why should we pray? Because God answers prayer! These verses tell us that prayer is powerful and effective and that if we will pray, God will hear our prayers, heal the sick, and forgive our sins.

The five W's of prayer. Who? Anyone. What? Anything. When? Anytime. Where? Anywhere. Why? Because God answers prayer.
Dear Father, thank you for hearing and answering our prayers. Help us to remember that you want to heal us when we are sick, help us when we are in trouble, forgive us when we sin, and rejoice with us when we are happy. Amen.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, AND YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

But remember... those words rolled directly off the loving lips of Jesus and He would never ask you to do anything that He wasn’t going to help you with! Besides, He doesn’t really have any glowing candidates of perfection to call up. We are all just fumbling fools who fall more frequently than we’d like to admit.

You are qualified because of your Messiah, not because of your mess. GS

.Lamentations 3:21-22 Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.
Have you stopped daring to hope? At times, our hope in our dreams and plans on this earth to do great things diminish when we don't see a sliver of success. But don't let that stop you from believing in yourself. Remember, our hope in His love and grace is always there. Keep hoping no matter what.

I take back everything I said, and I sit in dust and ashes to show my repentance. Job 42:6

Have you felt a need lately for God's forgiveness? We go through life striving and pretending to be exceptional at parenting, loving, or anything else. But when we don't measure up, we make excuses and quickly brush it under the rug for no one to see. Through those actions we refuse to recognize any need for God to strengthen us. Instead, let's ask God to forgive us of our pride and arrogance from ignoring our dependence on God.DD

Matthew 18:19-20 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
The majority of your daily prayer should be a personal time of communion with God; however, it is also helpful to share requests with others who can carry a prayer burden with you. You can both rejoice over victories through prayer.
The Bible even speaks about us joining together with others in prayer. We can bring requests to God on an individual basis, but Jesus admonishes, that there is more power in going to God as a group rather than only as individuals.DP

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.1 John 5:14

As prayer warriors, we must remember that no matter how hopeless a situation may appear to us, God gives us power in prayer to do something about it. We may be overwhelmed by it, but God is not. We may not see a way out, but God can. Because of Him, we can make a difference!
What “seemingly impossible” situations are you praying about today? SO

I'd never heard this amazing worship song from Josh Turner. But when you hear 'Me and God' it'll quickly take top spot in your heart. Wow, I'm so grateful for a God we can talk to! Can I get an 'Amen'?
