Members of the Holy Name Society (HNS) from across the country gathered in Antipolo City for the 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, a longstanding tradition of prayer, pilgrimage, and fraternity held every year by the Holy Name Society Philippines.
The event commenced with a solemn procession carrying the image of the Santo Niño and the replica of Nuestra Señora de la Paz y Buen Viaje, from the Ynares Center to the Antipolo Cathedral, where participants joined in the celebration of the Holy Mass.
The pilgrimage was attended by the HNS Philippines Executive Board and members from various parish units across the Archdiocese of Manila and the Dioceses of Cubao, Caloocan, Pasig, Parañaque, Antipolo, and Lipa. Representing Manila were the Holy Name Society units of Santo Niño de Tondo, Immaculate Conception Parish, San Roque de Sampaloc, and Santisimo Rosario.
Following the Eucharistic celebration, the induction of new members was conducted, welcoming additional men into the apostolate and mission of the Holy Name Society. Among those inducted was Bro. Renzo De Leon, representing the Holy Name Society – Santo Niño de Tondo Unit.
As part of their pilgrimage, members of the Santo Niño de Tondo Unit also paid homage to the revered image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, offering prayers before her image and receiving the blessing of reaching her sacred mantle, a cherished expression of Marian devotion among pilgrims.
This year's Walk for Peace coincided with the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, reminding the faithful that genuine peace is found in the loving Heart of Christ. Through prayer, fellowship, and pilgrimage, the participants renewed their commitment to become instruments of peace, charity, and evangelization in their respective communities.
The Annual Walk for Peace continues to serve as a powerful witness of faith and unity among Catholic men, strengthening their devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus and inspiring them to live out their vocation as disciples and servants of the Church.
