Scripture: Romans 12:9–13

Reflection💭
Paul reminds us that genuine love is more than kind words or good intentions, it is shown in how we treat people every day. Love is sincere, honors others, serves with joy, remains hopeful in difficult seasons, and shares with those in need.

This kind of love is not always easy. It asks us to move beyond what is convenient and to choose kindness, patience, generosity, and hospitality even in ordinary moments.

In a world that often feels divided and self-centered, we are called to 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙗𝙚 𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚, 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙩, 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙡𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩. Sometimes, the simplest act of care can remind someone that they are not alone.

🙏 Prayer
Loving God, teach us to love sincerely and generously. Help us honor others, remain hopeful in difficult seasons, and share what we have with those in need.
May our lives reflect a love that is genuine, not only in our words, but in our choices, actions, and presence.

The MEA Staff and Cabinet recently held a productive and motivating meeting in preparation for the upcoming MEA-Wide Church Workers’ Convocation scheduled for October 12-14 2026. Exciting times lie ahead as we look forward to our sacred revival, study sessions, empowerment, and fellowship time.

Let’s fill our hearts with love, service, and leadership!

Scripture
Psalm 105:1–6, 23–26, 45b

💭Reflection
Psalm 105 invites us to remember and tell the stories of what God has done. It reminds us that faith is not only about what we are waiting for today, but also about remembering God’s faithfulness throughout the journey.

The psalm recalls how God remained present with the people of Israel even as they lived in unfamiliar places and uncertain seasons. God continued to work, sometimes in ways they could not yet understand.

We, too, have seasons when we cannot see the whole picture. But 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥 𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨. 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥, 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙚𝙡𝙨𝙚.

Faithful God, teach us to remember Your goodness and give thanks for Your faithfulness. When the road ahead feels uncertain, remind us of the ways You have carried us before.
May our stories become testimonies of hope, encouraging others to seek You and trust Your presence. Amen.

Scripture: Exodus 3:4–15

💭Reflection
When Moses turned aside, God called him by name and gave him a task that felt far greater than his abilities. Moses questioned himself, but God’s promise remained: “𝙄 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪.”

We, too, may feel unprepared when faced with a calling, responsibility, or challenge. We may ask, “𝘞𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘮 𝘐?” or “𝘈𝘮 𝘐 𝘦𝘯𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩?” But God does not always call us because we feel ready. 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙗𝙚 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙪𝙨.

Perhaps the question is not whether we are enough, but whether we can trust the God who goes with us.

🙏Prayer
Faithful God, when Your calling feels greater than our strength, remind us that we do not go alone. When we question whether we are enough, teach us to trust Your presence more than our abilities.

Guide our steps and give us courage to respond with faith. Amen.

Scripture: Exodus 3:1–3

💭Reflection
Moses was simply going about his ordinary work when he encountered something extraordinary, a bush that was burning but was not consumed. His response was simple: he turned aside to see.

𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘶𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘺 𝘳𝘩𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘮𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴. Yet we can become so busy, tired, or distracted that we fail to notice what God may be showing us.

Moses teaches us the importance of pausing and paying attention. Before we can respond to God’s call, we sometimes need to slow down enough to notice God’s presence.

🙏Prayer
God of wonder, slow us down when life becomes too busy and our hearts too distracted. Open our eyes to see Your presence in ordinary places and moments.
Give us the grace to pause, pay attention, and respond when You call. Amen.

Scripture: Matthew 16:13–20

💭Reflection
Jesus asks His disciples a deeply personal question: “Who do you say that I am?” Peter answers, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”

We may know what others say about Jesus, but faith also invites us to answer personally: Who is Jesus to me? Our answer is revealed not only in our words, but also in how we live, trust, and follow Him.

𝙁𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩.

Living Christ, help us move beyond simply knowing about You into truly knowing and following You. Deepen our faith and guide our lives.

Scripture: Romans 12:1–8

💭Reflection
Paul reminds us that our whole lives can become an offering to God. We are not called to be someone else, but to let God transform us and faithfully use the gifts thee has given us.

It is easy to compare our gifts, progress, or contributions with others and wonder if what we have is enough. But God gives different gifts for different purposes; some lead, some teach, some serve, some encourage, and some give. 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙜𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙖 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙞𝙣 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠.

𝘞𝘦 𝘥𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘰 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.

Scripture: Exodus 1:1–15; 2:1–10

💭Reflection
Exodus begins with a people who were once welcomed but eventually became feared and oppressed. Yet even in that difficult season, God was quietly at work through ordinary people who chose courage, compassion, and care especially the women who protected Moses.

Their story reminds us that 𝙂𝙤𝙙 𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙛𝙖𝙞𝙩𝙝𝙛𝙪𝙡𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙬𝙚 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙞𝙜𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚. A kind choice, a courageous stand, or a simple act of care may seem small to us, but God can use it to shape someone’s future.

🙏 Prayer
Gracious God, help us remain faithful even when we cannot see the outcome. Give us courage to protect what is vulnerable, compassion to care for others, and faith to trust that our small acts can serve a greater purpose.

Use our lives and our quiet acts of love to bring hope and life to others. Amen.
