Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage of Tondo

Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage of Tondo Pope Paul VI, together with the Archbishop of Manila, Rufino Cardinal Santos, officially erected the parish on March 16,1971.

The objective of this page is to promote the Virgin Mary known as the "Birhen ng Delpan, Tundo" or the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage of Tondo, Patroness of Delpan, Manila. Year of Foundation: 1971
Establishment as a Parish: 1971
Patroness: Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage
Feastday: 3rd Sunday of May

This Parish had been imbued with the spirit of the Augustinian Recollection since the time it was entrusted to the pastoral care of the Recollect Fathers. Throughtout its brief history, the faithful have always cherished the apostolic solicitude of Pope Paul VI and Pope John Paul II during their respective papal visits to this humble parish in 1970 and 1981. What used to be a Small Chapel at the corner of Matimtiman and Mithi Streets in Barangay Fuguso, Tondo, is now a symbol of living hope in the midst of a densely populated district.

Holy Hour for the Mission

“Third Friday of the Month”

Tonight, we gather in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament for our Holy Hour for the Mission—a sacred time to pause, listen, adore, and place ourselves at the service of God’s mission.

May our prayers strengthen the Church, inspire missionaries, and remind us that every one of us is called to share Christ’s love wherever we are.

🕊️ One Hour. One Mission. One Heart in Christ.
🙏 Lord, make us instruments of Your mission.

: ST. EZEKIEL MORENO: THE MIRACULOUS PATRON OF FILIPINO CATHOLICS AGAINST CANCER 🙏🇵🇭

Every August 19, the Catholic Church celebrates the memorial of St. Ezekiel Moreno, a beloved patron of those suffering from cancer. Having personally endured the pain and suffering of cancer, he has become a source of hope and a powerful intercessor for many Filipino Catholics.

Even before entering religious life, St. Ezekiel had a deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He later devoted his life to serving God and His people, especially the poor, the sick, and the suffering.

A significant part of his priestly ministry was spent in the Philippines, where he served for about 15 years in places such as Manila, Palawan, Mindoro, Iloilo, Las Piñas, Batangas, and other parts of the country. He also learned to speak Tagalog fluently, allowing him to minister more closely to the Filipino people.

His compassion for those who suffer became especially meaningful because he himself eventually faced cancer. His life reminds us that holiness is not the absence of suffering, but the courage to offer our suffering to God with faith and trust.

Among those who have shared a personal experience of St. Ezekiel's intercession is Fr. Jerry M. Orbos, SVD, a lung cancer survivor. Over the years, numerous accounts of healing and favors have also been attributed to the intercession of St. Ezekiel Moreno, particularly among those battling cancer.

Let us continue to entrust every cancer patient to his loving intercession.

St. Ezekiel Moreno, pray for all cancer patients.
St. Ezekiel Moreno, intercede for us! 🙏🤍

May God grant healing according to His holy will, strength to those who suffer, and hope to every family facing the cross of cancer.

San Ezekiel Moreno, ipanalangin mo kami.
