SAY “NO” FOR THE BIG “YES”
By Bishop Emi Domingo
No” for the big “Yes!”
Nasusulat, “By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward” (Hebrews 11:24-26, NIV).
One of the strategies of the Devil is to reduce your potentials and your influence by beguiling you to say “Yes” right away in a situation or in a relationship that would compromise God’s grandiose plan for your life.
Moses was able to say “No” to the glory of Egypt because he was looking ahead to the greater glory of his reward. Look ahead. Look beyond the people and the circumstances of your present idiosyncrasies.
No” for the big “Yes!” Moses did not become Pharaoh, king of Egypt, but he became the man of God who wrote the first five books of the Bible known as the Pentateuch. Who remembers the Pharaoh at the time of Moses? No one remembers, but Moses is dearly remembers even today by all people, the Jews, the Christians and even the non-Christians as well.
Say “No” to anything that violates God’s word.
Say “No” to anyone who would reduce your best potential in life, ministry and influence.
Say “No” to any situation that would compromise your Christian testimony.
Say “No” for the big “Yes!”
Big “Yes” for God’s word.
God’s word is bigger than anything in your life.
Big “Yes” for your best potential in life, ministry and influence.
Your best potential in life, ministry and influence is much more important that what you feel right now. Your feeling will not even last in the morning, more so, for a lifetime, but your influence will last even beyond your lifetime.
Big “Yes” for your Christian testimony.
Your Christian testimony is bigger than you. Don’t compromise it just to enjoy the pleasure of sin only for a short time.
Say “No” for the big “Yes!”
