As the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah approach, we are once again reminded of the unwavering faith and submission of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his beloved son Ismail (AS) 🤲🏻 a story of sacrifice, trust, and complete devotion to Allah ﷻ.

This Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, is not just a time of celebration but a moment for deep reflection on our willingness to surrender to the will of our Creator 💫. It’s a call to renew our intentions, strengthen our unity, and extend compassion to those in need 🐑❤️.

UE-Islamic Society joins the global Muslim Ummah in commemorating this sacred event. May our sacrifices be accepted and our hearts always be guided toward sincerity and righteousness. Ameen.

Eid’l Adha 2025 Holiday This Friday

June 6, 2025 (Friday), is the date of the annual nationwide regular holiday, Eid’l Adha, or the Feast of the Sacrifice.

As such, offices in UE Manila and UE Caloocan will be closed for onsite transactions on that day.

UE College freshmen enrollment will resume on Saturday, June 7, 2025, while UE office operations will resume on Monday, June 9, 2025—which will also mark the first day of Summer 2025 college classes.

With the days and nights passing, the shining of the sun and moon, we thank Allah for letting us once again reach and finish another Ramadhan. Allahamdulillah!

May the leaving of Ramadhan become a new chapter for us to start anew, to be kinder, and to become closer to Him. Let us keep the lessons and experiences we endured during this Holy Month close to our hearts.

Representation is the single-most effective method of communication.

UE PSS, through their event, “Beyond Stereotypes: Understanding the Muslim Identity” shows how proper knowledge can change the world.

The Muslim community of the University, as represented by UE Islamic Society is thankful for establishing such world-changing principles.

𝙐𝙀 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙎𝙤𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙃𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙨 𝙀𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙡𝙞𝙢 𝙄𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙮

The University of the East (UE) Political Science Society hosted the event "Beyond Stereotypes: Understanding the Muslim Identity" on March 19, featuring Sheikh Mohammad Ismael. The talk aimed to challenge negative stereotypes of Islam, emphasizing the importance of understanding the Muslim community beyond media portrayals.

Sheikh Ismael shared insights into Muslim culture, stressing that engaging with real Muslims is key to overcoming misconceptions. “To truly understand Islam, you must ask Muslims themselves,” he said.

The event sparked lively discussions, encouraging attendees to seek knowledge from authentic sources and promote inclusivity. It was a step towards fostering mutual respect and cultural understanding within the UE community.

Alhamdulillah! As the religion of peace, what better way to attain peace and cooperation than to bridge differences and divide?

Together with the UE Political Science Society, UE Islamic Society were able to create a meaningful dialogue about the beauty of Cultural Inclusivity.

With initiatives such as this, a future where people have better tolerance of their differences is made possible.

As we are all observing this Holy Month of Ramadhan, let us strive to be better Muslims 🫀and be reminded of our duties to our Creator and to one another as brothers and sisters in Islam ☪️.

READ: The shared concerns and views of the Muslim community — both inside and outside the University, on the recently concluded MMUE 2024 event.

This concern caught our attention due to a public Facebook post of a Muslim Warrior on a specific freedom wall ( ).

Without them sharing their concern, we wouldn’t have been made aware of this because this unofficial organization is not interested with pageantry, following the Islamic practice of lowering one’s gaze.

Demand for apology and accountability.

PERMANENT PRAYER ROOM NOW ACCESSIBLE!

Alhamdulillah! We are overflowing with thankfulness for our University’s dedication to fostering an inclusive community.

It is with great pride that we are announcing the opening of a permanent prayer room for our Muslim brothers and sisters of the University of the East Manila campus. With this musallah made available for the religious duties of our Muslim community, we see a better future where diversity is cherished and advocated.

Truly, our plans are nothing without the blessings of the Almighty Allah. It is for Him that we are continuously making efforts, together with the assistance of the UE-SC, to better our imaan (faith) inside the University campus.

The said prayer room is located at the Lualhati Building room 717 inside the International Student Room and is available from 11 am-7 pm.
