SPX's History:
The Parish of St.

Pius X was born in 1968. It was through the late Cardinal Rufino Santos who gave an instruction that the Holy Family Parish in San Andres Bukid must be divided. Pedro Bantique, the retired bishop of the Diocese of San Pablo, acted as the Chairman of the Consultants and executed the instruction of the late Cardinal. After establishing the boundary of the new parish, the next step was to identify the specific location for the new church's site. Finally, the lot at 7th St corner Neptuno St., which was a playground of the City of Manila, was made as the permanent site of the new parish church. The Patron Saint, St. PIus X, was given by no other than the late Cardinal Rufino Santos.

Sa tahimik na araw na ito, alalahanin natin si Pope Francis, sa kanyang unang taon ng pagbabalik sa Panginoon.
Isang pastol na pinili ang pagiging payak kaysa karangyaan,
lumakad kasama ng sugatan, at yumakap sa mga nakalimutan.
Sa mundong madaling humusga,
itinuro niya ang awa, pag-ibig, at kapatawaran.

Hindi lamang sa salita kundi sa gawa,
sa kababaang-loob, sa pagbubukas ng puso sa lahat,
ipinaalala niya ang turo ni Hesus:
magmahal nang walang hangganan,
magpatawad nang walang pag-aalinlangan.

At sa paggunita sa kanya, tayo’y inaanyayahan,
