It is summer time, and many go to the sea to rest and be renewed. But beyond the sound of the waves, there is a deeper voice — the voice of God calling us to awaken and follow Him.

Our Dominican Mission is to preach for the salvation of souls!"

🔥To preach is to look into the eyes of the next generation and remind them that they are deeply loved by God. As Dominican Misioneras (OP-Misioneras), we do not just preach from pulpits—we preach through our lives, our joy, and our presence with the youth! 📖

✨We listen to their questions, companion them in their struggles, and help them discover God's beautiful plan for their future. This is how we share the fruits of our contemplation. This is how we save souls.

Are you looking for a life of radical purpose?

Do you feel a burning desire to serve Christ and change the world through love?

God might be calling you to walk with us. 🎒❤️Come and see what it means to be a Dominican Sister. Your life can be the next beautiful sermon!

To know our history is to know our identity. Here is a glimpse of our congregation’s journey from China to Taiwan—a testament to how our sisters in the past dedicated themselves to evangelization. They selflessly gave of themselves to work in the vineyard of the Lord.

CO-DISCERNERS OF VOCATION 🤝

"We do not direct vocation, we only co-discern... Let our work remain challenging. Because when it is challenging, we continue to learn."

With these words, Most Rev. Roberto O. Gaa, D.D., Bishop of Novaliches and CBCP-ECV President, concluded our 29th DVP National Convention during his homily at the Closing Mass.

He challenged every vocation promoter to review our very understanding of discernment. A vocation, he reminded us, is not based on fleeting feelings of happiness, but on the unchangeable reality that God has called.

Our role as co-discerners, therefore, is not to give answers, but to become a clear and unbiased echo. We are called to listen so deeply with the candidates that we help them listen to themselves, and ultimately, to hear the voice of God—unhindered and unhampered.

What a profound and beautiful mission to be sent forth with: to be, above all, masters of sacred listening! 😍

CALLED. FORMED. SENT.

Are we just maintaining, or are we on a mission? This was the powerful challenge from Most Rev. Herman G. Abcede, RCJ, D.D., in our final talk for the 29th DVP National Convention.

He urged us to shift from a "maintenance mentality" to a "missionary mentality," constantly asking: Who has not yet heard? Where is Christ not yet loved?

A vocation that isn't missionary, Bishop Herman reminded us, becomes self-referential and loses its purpose. The call isn't just to be called. It’s to be formed in communion, sent on mission, and joyfully spent for others.💙💪

Why does the call to vocation feel so difficult for young people today?

In his talk "Called in Communion: A Call to Relationship," Bishop Jose Allan Dialogo suggested that it's a crisis of relationship.

"The challenge is not that God has stopped calling but that the noise of modern life makes it harder for His voice to be heard... The crisis of vocation today is often a crisis of relationship. Many young people know about God but don’t know God personally."

In a world full of crises, young people are asking, "Is it safe to say yes?" But Bishop Allan offered a shift in perspective: vocation is not an escape from crisis, but an entry into it with Christ. It is actually in the midst of turmoil that we discover that communion is stronger than division, hope is stronger than despair, and Christ's love is stronger than war. As he reminded us, "Pag may dinadaanan na krisis, lalong tumatatag ang bokasyon."

We discover that this is the true meaning of communion: to stand with the suffering. And this is the true meaning of vocation: to bring Christ there. 😇🙏

FACILITATORS OF ENCOUNTER 🙏💙

Most Rev. Raul B. Dael, D.D., Bishop of Tandag, touched hearts and left important points for vocation promoters of today in his talk: "Journeying Together - Walking the Path of Vocation."

He shared how he would often hear vocation promoters talk so much about their congregation, their charism, their programs, but not about Jesus. He emphasized that our role is to be facilitators of encounter and witnesses of faith: to recognize, to accompany, and to help awaken what God is already doing.

After all, vocations do happen in a "personal encounter with God who meets every person in their own story, in their own wounds, in their own desires."
