FRIENDSHIP: This is the time of their lives when the youth begin to form lasting relationships with their peers. YFC encourages friendship among young people, enabling them to see God in each and every individual they encounter. The community allows the youth to experience new things, to learn, and to grow with friends. FREEDOM: One can barely contain the enthusiasm of a spirit. Within YFC, the youth experience freedom from sins, from insecurities, and from difficulties in the past, as well as the freedom to express love and to become the individuals whom God meant them to be. FAITH: None of the three can be fully experienced without faith in God. In YFC, the youth are taught the Catholic faith that they may better appreciate the abundant blessings they receive in their lives."

โœจToday we commemorate and celebrate all the Saints, known and unknown. Persons who are recognized as souls in heaven who lived virtuous lives on earth, serving as models of holiness. This includes those who were martyred because of their faith or those who selflessly offered their lives for others.

๐Ÿ“œIn the early days, the majority of the Saints were martyrs. It was a custom amongst the early Christians to commemorate the Saint on the anniversary of their death for Christ. Frequently groups of martyrs and saints suffered on the same day, which led to days of joint commemoration.

โ›ช๏ธFeeling that every martyr and saint should be venerated, a common day was appointed. Eventually Pope Gregory III consecrated a chapel in the basilica of St. Peter to all the saints and fixed the anniversary for November 1, which is today we know as All Saints Day.

โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿ”ฅHonoring all Saints today. May we be inspired by their lives and find holiness in our own.
