“You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. These things I command you, so that you will love one another.” - John‬ ‭15‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭ESV‬‬‬

This is Jesus’s command: all abiding, fruit-bearing, and friendship culminate in loving one another. Fruit is not just deeds or gifts - it is Christlike love expressed to fellow believers. 🙌🏻

VERSE OF THE WEEK 🤍

“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me, he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Fruitfulness comes from staying connected to Jesus. When we abide in Him, He shapes our hearts, strengthens our faith, and produces fruit through our lives. 🙌🏻

“Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching.” - Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭38‬-‭39‬

Our service should never replace our intimacy with Him. May we never be so busy doing for Jesus that we forget to be with Jesus. 🙌🏻

VERSE OF THE WEEK 🤍

Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭10‬:‭38‬-‭42‬

Jesus did not correct Martha’s way of service. He gently called her back to what was most necessary—being with Him. 🙌🏻

As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty.” -
Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭23‬

The seed that falls on good soil represents a heart that hears God’s Word, understands it, and allows it to bear fruit.

May it take root in our hearts, transform our lives, and produce a harvest of faith, obedience, and love for God’s glory. 🙌🏻
