Je
sus the Lord of Grace Christian Ministries (JLOGM) began as an outreach of New Life Bible Christian Community in Quezon City. The church was envisioned and initiated by Pastor Rock Manuel together with Kuya Tony Cailao in February 1992. The first Sunday worship service was held at Kuya Tony’s carinderia located at 215 Manrique Street, Sampaloc, Manila, with about 20–25 attendees. The Cailao family played a significant role in supporting Pastor Rock, and missionaries from KBCF also assisted in establishing and nurturing the growing ministry. A year later, JLOGM moved to a larger venue at the University of Manila in Sampaloc, placing the ministry at the heart of the University Belt and opening doors to minister to more students and families. In 1999, Pastor Rock Manuel was called to lead KBCF and serve in its Missions work. Yet the Lord continued His faithfulness to JLOGM by providing a new shepherd, Pastora Norma Isaac. In mid-2005, Pastora Norma Isaac retired from full-time ministry. This paved the way for KBCF’s Missions Department to assign Pastor Joel Espinosa as the next pastor of JLOGM. In February 2007, Lord of Abounding Grace Ministries (formerly New Life Bible Christian Church) merged with JLOGM, uniting long-time members and new believers in shared service to the Lord. After two years of dedicated ministry, Pastor Joel Espinosa stepped down, following the Lord’s leading. Even in transitions, God’s faithful hand continued to guide and sustain the church. Today, Pastor Errol Cailao serves as the leader of the church, continuing the legacy of faithful pastoral leadership that has shaped JLOGM since its founding. He provides guidance in worship, discipleship, and ministry direction, preaching 2-3 times a month while inviting pastors as preachers of the Gospel to minister regularly. Through his leadership, the church remains rooted in its mission to proclaim the Gospel and build up the body of Christ. Our Beliefs
We uphold the historic faith of the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church, grounding our life, doctrine, and worship in the unchanging truths revealed in Holy Scripture and faithfully preserved throughout the centuries. As a community shaped by the teachings of the apostles and the witness of the early Christians, we affirm the classic ecumenical creeds—the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed, and the Athanasian Creed—as foundational summaries of the essential teachings of the Christian faith. These creeds clearly articulate the central doctrines entrusted to the Church: the mystery of the Holy Trinity; the full divinity and humanity of Jesus Christ; His incarnation, saving death, bodily resurrection, ascension, and promised return; the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit; and the identity and mission of the Church in the world. By confessing these historic creeds, we stand in continuity with the apostolic tradition and with generations of Christians who have faithfully proclaimed these same truths. We affirm that the creeds do not replace Scripture but serve as faithful expressions of its core teachings, guiding the Church in sound doctrine and safeguarding it from error. In embracing these confessions, we commit ourselves to preaching the Gospel handed down through the ages, nurturing believers in the truth, and living out the faith with integrity, compassion, and steadfast devotion to Christ.
