Introducing Sayyid Aliridha Sayyid Aliakbar Abinal
📍 Graduate of Al-Mustafa International University, Qom, Iran
📍 Licensed Shari’ah Counselor-at-law, Philippines

Sayyid Aliridha Abinal earned his Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Theology after five years of study, and began his postgraduate (Masteral) studies in Arabic Literature at Al-Mustafa International University in Qom, Iran, spending a total of seven years in the seminary.

After returning to the Philippines, he pursued Shari’ah Training at the University of the Philippines (UP), conducted by the Supreme Court of the Philippines in partnership with the National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF). By the grace of Allah ﷻ, and after months of rigorous training and completing the program, he successfully passed the Shari’ah Bar Examination held on May 25 and 28, 2025.

He is now recognized as the first Shia scholar (muammam), a graduate of the Islamic seminary in Iran, to become a licensed Shari’ah Counselor-at-law in the Philippines.

This historic achievement represents a bridge between traditional Islamic scholarship and the Philippine legal system. His journey reflects a commitment to serve justice, truth, and the noble path of the Ahlulbayt (‘alayhimussalam).

We congratulate Sayyid Aliridha on this remarkable milestone and pray for his continued success and service to the Filipino Muslim community.
