Here we are promised that if we remove the yoke of criticism from our midst
(which is portrayed as "the pointing of the finger and speaking wickedness"), we
are promised that our light will break out, our healing will come speedily, the
glory of the Lord will follow us, and He will answer our prayers. There is
possibly nothing that can so radically change the church, and the lives of
individual believers, than having our criticisms changed into intercession.
Likewise, it is probable that the addiction to criticism is the main reason why
there is so little light, so little healing, so little of the glory of the Lord, and so
little answered prayer in the church today.

Satan seems to understand even better than the church that "God resists the
proud, but gives grace to the humble" (James 4:6 NKJV). He knows very
well that God will not inhabit any work that is inflated with pride, and that God
Himself will even resist such a work. So Satan's strategy is to make us proud—
even proud of good things, such as how much we read our Bibles, or witness, or
feed the poor. He knows that if we do the will of God in pride, our work will be
counterproductive and could even ultimately work toward our fall.
Satan also knows that once leaven gets into the bread, it is extremely difficult to
remove. Pride, by its very nature, is the most difficult stronghold to remove or
correct. A religious spirit keeps us from hearing the voice of God by encouraging
us to assume that we already know God's opinion, what He is saying, and what
pleases Him. This delusion is the result of believing that God is just like us. This
will even cause the rationalization of Scripture, having us believe that rebukes,
exhortations and words of correction are for other people, but not for us.

The world and all it contains belongs to The Lord, not the
devil. It is now the time to fight for it. When Israel came to the
Jordan River to cross it and fi for their land, it said that the Jordan
River overflowed its banks all of the days of the harvest. The
Jordan River represents death, which is why it was the place
where both John and Jesus baptized. Death will overflow its
banks all the days of the harvest at the end of the age. That is why
our preparation for the last battle requires that we pass through
this Valley of the Shadow of Death.”

you help others become leaders. You do this by being quick to
give others responsibility. Then you let them lead, even when
they fail. That is not common, but it is a requirement for those
who will be leaders in The King's army. This was the leadership
the Lord Jesus our King demonstrated with His disciples, so it is the
leadership of The King and His kingdom.”

“The power of the joy of the kingdom is to turn darkness into
light,” “The who are with you are called to fight in
the last battle in the darkest times. They must walk in the greatest
light to prevail in that battle. They must live for and live in the
righteousness, peace, and joy that is the kingdom. Only such ones
are the warriors of the kingdom.
“You worship what you give your heart to. What you give your
heart to is evidenced by what has most of your attention. A heart
that is The Lord's is evidenced by worship of The Lord. Such a
heart cannot be selfish or self-centered for such are worshiping themselves.
“You have a saying that 'There are many soldiers but not many
warriors.' This valley will reveal those who live for themselves
and those who live for The King. Self-centeredness will get you
killed in this valley. Only a pure devotion to The King will get
you through. You are about to see firsthand the consequences of a
selfish life and the reward of a selfless life.
“Many who are with you do not think of themselves as warriors.
Some here have even said that they are lovers, not warriors. You
do not really love if you are not willing to fight for what you love.
This valley is where warriors are made. True warriors are made
by first learning to love.
“'Love never fails,' and love never quits. You will fail as a warrior
if you are not fighting because of your love. You will quit before
the danger and hardship of being a warrior if you are not fighting
for what you love.”

It is the spirit of Jezebel that is a main
enemy in these times. It is that spirit that still leads the world into
perversion and the worship of idols. Like all evil, it is coming to
full maturity at the end of this age. It has taken over much of this
world and yet is greedy for more. This is an ultimate enemy in the
ultimate battle at the end. Depression and disorientation are her
primary weapons, which is why you must not lose your joy.”

The truth is that cowards die one continuous, long, and tortuous death.
True life is noble and glorious, and lived by faith. True life is the

final, but only a bridge to cross to a much more glorious life. That is
what you must seek to walk in now by dying to this world. You must
do it while walking through some of its most beautiful and deadly
places. Now is the time for you to face and overcome the ultimate
enemy. To face it with joy is overcoming.”

Valley of the Shadow of Death

This valley is where warriors learn to live with
death as a real, continuous, and close threat. This is where you learn
that to defeat death you must defeat the fear of death. To do this you
must do what is written: 'die daily' and consider yourself already dead
to this world. Those who are dead to this world cannot fear anything
from this world. This alone can kill the ultimate source of all death—
selfishness.”
