“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” (Matthew 25:40)

Even amid the rain, thunder, and warnings not to go out, our brothers continued to distribute food to those in need. This simple act beautifully reflects the Salvatorian spirit of unity, compassion, and service. It reminds us that every person has equal dignity and deserves our care. May their effort inspire us to serve with love, especially when it is not easy, and to see Christ in everyone.

Recently, the Salvatorian Fathers and Brothers carried out an Outreach Program in Sitio Pag-asa, Antipolo, a place where many families are living in difficult and challenging conditions.
In a spirit of sharing and mutual support, we visited the families and brought small gifts, including clothes, food, toys for the children, and essential daily necessities. Although the material value was modest, it carried sincere care and love for each family.
The visit left us with simple yet profound emotions, reminding us of the meaning of solidarity, of sharing life and walking together with those who need support in their daily struggles.

For Salvatorians, feeding the poor is not merely an act of charity or generosity, it is a silent encounter with Christ present in the suffering and forgotten. In every trembling hand that receives food, we are reminded of the Gospel, where Jesus fed the hungry with compassion and love. The mission of serving the poor calls us to leave behind comfort and self-centeredness, and to become living witnesses of God’s mercy. Sometimes, a simple meal speaks more powerfully than words, reminding the poor that they are seen, loved, and never abandoned. As Salvatorians, we are called not only to preach the Savior with our words, but also to reveal Him through concrete acts of charity. In feeding the poor, we often discover that the hearts most deeply nourished are our own.

On Good Shepherd Sunday, we are reminded that a vocation is simply a call to love and to serve. The Good Shepherd does not choose the easy path, but stays close to those who are weak, lost, or forgotten. A consecrated life becomes meaningful when it is lived with a heart open to others, especially the poor. Sometimes it is not about doing great things, but about being present, listening, and caring in small ways. In serving those in need, we quietly meet Christ Himself. To pray for vocations is to ask for generous hearts, willing to give their lives with trust and simplicity.
