Feast of Saint Benilde Romançon | Our Lasallian Apostle for Vocations

Saint Benilde reminds us that vocation is not always found in extraordinary moments. Sometimes, it is discovered in the quiet fidelity of an ordinary life: showing up, serving, teaching, accompanying, and loving without needing to be noticed.

He did not build his vocation on greatness as the world defines it. He built it on availability: to God, to the young, to the mission, and to the person placed before him. Perhaps this is why his life continues to speak to us today: God does not always call us to do something extraordinary; He calls us to do ordinary things with extraordinary love.

As the Lasallian Apostle for Vocations, Saint Benilde invites us to ask not only, “What do I want to become?” but the deeper question: “Lord, where are You calling me to give my life?”

May we learn from him the courage to listen, the humility to respond, and the generosity to stay faithful.

Saint Benilde Romançon, pray for us.
May our lives become an answer to God’s call.

Live, Jesus, in our hearts forever!
