[En Español] Originalmente conocida como la Iglesia de San Pablo, la Iglesia de San Agustín fue fundada el 19 de Mayo de 1571 (verificada el 24 de junio de 1571), junto con el Convento de San Pablo. Es la iglesia de piedra más antigua del país (construida en 1585, completada en 1607), así como una de las estructuras más antiguas, si no la más antigua, de antes de la guerra en la ciudad amurallada de Intramuros. [In English] Originally known as the Church of San Pablo, San Agustin Church was founded on May 19, 1571 (Foundation certified on June 24,1571), along with the Convent of San Pablo. It is the oldest stone church in the country (built 1585, completed 1607), as well as one of the oldest, if not the oldest, pre-war structure in the walled city of Intramuros. The church is also considered to be the mother house of all Augustinians in the archipelago. It is administered by the Augustinian (OSA) friars of the Vicariate of the Orient - Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus of the Philippines.
San Agustin Church, being the only church that survived the Second World War, became the Immaculate Conception Parish of Intramuros in 1945, after the war destroyed the Manila Cathedral-Parish.
