Today, on the First Sunday of the civil New Year, we celebrate The Epiphany of the Lord (主顯節). In this Solemnity, we celebrate the visit of the wise men and the manifestation of Jesus' kingship to all the nations. We are blessed that with this celebration, we, who are Gentiles, are called to participate in the life with God through Jesus Christ. Let us treasure this blessing and resolve to be faithful to the Lord always.

Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Epiphany.

Tonight, as we count down for the New Year, let us also remember that the January 1, the Octave Day of Christmas (聖誕節八日慶祝期第八日), is the Solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God (天主之母聖瑪利亞節日). Let us start the year with prayers to the Blessed Virgin for her guidance and for peace throughout the year 2022.

Happy New Year to everyone!

Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Mary, the Holy Mother of God, our Lady's greatest title. This feast is the Octave Day of Christmas. In the modern Roman Calendar only Christmas and Easter enjoy the privilege of an octave. According to the previous (1962) liturgical calendar, today is

Today, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Innocents, Martyrs (諸聖嬰孩(殉道)慶日). We pay tribute to these innocent children who were martyred because of the envy of a selfish king. May we learn to be generous to others and fight feelings of envy and jealousy in our hearts.

“A voice is heard in Ramah, weeping and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children and refusing to be comforted, because they are no more.” (Matt 2:18, from Jer 31:15) During this Octave of Christmas the Church celebrates the memory of the small children of the neighborhood of Bethlehem

Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. John, Apostle & Evangelist (聖若望宗徒(聖史)慶日). St. John is known as the Beloved Disciple. In the Gospel attributed to him, he is referred to as the disciple that Jesus loved, and in his letters, he wrote about the love of God for us and how we are also all called to love God. Let us listen to his teaching of love and live this love in our lives.

Today is the third day in the Octave of Christmas. The Church celebrates the Feast of St. John, Apostle and evangelist. Born in Bethsaida, he was called while mending his nets to follow Jesus. He became the beloved disciple of Jesus. He wrote the fourth Gospel, three Epistles and the Apocalypse.

Today, on the Sunday within the Octave of Christmas, we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph (聖家節). We recognize the roles that Mary and St. Joseph played in the growth and formation of the child Jesus, and we also reflect on the roles that our families played in our own growth and development. As we reflect on these, let us also thank the Lord for the blessing of our families. Let us also continue to love and support our families and continuously pray for them.

Happy Feast of the Holy Family! A merry & blessed Christmas to all!

Scripture tells us practically nothing about the first years and the boyhood of the Child Jesus. All we know are the facts of the sojourn in Egypt, the return to Nazareth, and the incidents that occurred when the twelve-year-old boy accompanied his parents to Jerusalem. In her liturgy the Church

On this Third Sunday of Advent, we see the people's reaction to St. John the Baptist's "voice in the desert". St. John the Baptist told them to share what they have and to stop the evil that they were doing. The same call continues to echo to us today. We are called again and again to prepare for God's coming to our hearts. Have we done our best to do so?

This Friday, let us prepare to welcome Jesus in our hearts.

Today, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Immaculate Concepcion (聖母無玷始胎節日). We believe that Mary, as the Mother of Jesus, was conceived without original sin.

Today, on the Second Sunday of Advent, we hear of St. John the Baptist fulfilling the words of the prophet Isaiah. Let us also prepare our hearts for the coming of our Lord so that he may reside in our hearts all the days of our lives.
