The Quran clearly shows that Imamah / Divine leadership is an Islamic principle belief of which is obligatory for every Muslim. The claim that it is not a doctrine mandated by the Quran and Sunnah cannot be demonstrated. Unless the Qur’anic verses proving them are disbelieved.

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.
The blessed Eid al-Adha is the festival of transcendence in the test of servitude, and the day when the tree of monotheism blooms in longing souls. It is an occasion in which we draw inspiration from Abraham, the Friend of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him), regarding the true meaning of sacrifice—to sacrifice worldly attachments for the sake of Truth, and to march toward the peaks of sublime morality.
I extend to you, eminent scholar, my highest congratulations and blessings on this auspicious occasion, as you carry the torch of knowledge and insight in the service of Islam and Muslims.
I pray to Allah, the Almighty, to make this Eid full of spiritual blessings for you, and a beacon of unity and a manifestation of the victory of justice over oppression and darkness for the Islamic Ummah.
May Allah grant you continued health, happiness, and success.

He believes that the Imaamul Muttaqeen is generic and therefore he can ask Allah, the Exalted, to make him one of the Imaamul Muttaqeen because this ayah 25:74 refers to ordinary persons.

Imaamul Muttaqeen / Leader of the God-fearing, Imam ‘Ali, on him be peace, is a spiritual paragon / pious standard.

Bismillaah.

The book of Allah, the Qur'an, is, without a doubt in it, a guidance to the Muttaqeen / Pious.

A person who argues against its verses cannot be considered muttaqi / pious.

He who brought the truth and those who confirmed it are the muttaquun.

These were those who prayed to Allah that they be made Imaamul Muttaqeen / Imam of the pious.

And Allah granted their prayers. Imam 'Ali was declared Imaamul Muttaqeen by the Messenger of Allah.

The Imaamul Muttaqeen / Leaders of the God-fearing cannot be ordinary people who have no fear of contradicting or opposing or arguing the verses of the Qur'an.

The covenant of Allah with the Muslims is we say we have heard and we obey.
