📣 VICTORY FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE! 🙌

Today, June 5, 2025, we give thanks to the God of justice and mercy
as the court finally acquits Rev. Nathaniel “Dodo” Vallente from the remaining trumped-up charge of Unlawful Possession of Small Fi****ms and Ammunitions.

This is more than just a legal victory—it is a testament to the power of prayer, persistence, and prophetic witness! 💪🏽✊🏽

To all who stood with us—from the courtroom steps of RTC Branch 51 in Carmen, Bohol, to the countless prayer circles across the nation—you are the living proof that faith and action go hand in hand. Salamat, mga kapatid, sa inyong walang-sawang pakikiisa!

But our journey doesn't end here. With unwavering determination, we continue to cry out for justice for all others who remain unjustly accused and detained. We will not rest until all chains of injustice are shattered.

As the prophet Amos thundered:
“Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24)

On April 25, 2024, another hearing will be held. Please pray for Rev. Dodo's immediate release. We will not stop echoing our voice until justice is served!

We remain steadfast in journeying with Rev. Vallente and his family and continue our prayers that Rev. Vallente will be freed soon. May God show favor on all political prisoners falsely charged and detained in the Philippines and around the world.

For more than a year, the state’s presentation of fabricated evidence has been postponed and extended. Let’s pray that the case will be dismissed outright!

Too many people are jailed from this favorite modus-operandi of state forces; they plant fabricated evidence and then they testify that they found it.

Rev. Vallente is innocent! As a farmers' advocate, Rev. Vallente was targeted with these false charges because of his prophetic witness and work with poor farmers.

God of Truth, Justice, and Peace,

We pray for Rev. Vallente who is languishing in jail for more that two and a half years under fabricated charges. We pray for his freedom!

And as the case drags on and on, we pray for wisdom and courage for the judge to act on behalf of Rev. Vallente to end these delaying tactics and dismiss these false charges.

God, we pray that you will work in the hearts of Christians everywhere, that we all become better stewards of the Earth and advocates for those who grow and harvest the food we eat. Help us to learn from your disciples like Rev. Vallente to advocate for just treatment of poor farmers and workers. Make mindful of the proper respect and gratitude for hard working men and women who grow food for our nourishment.

Free Rev. Vallente, we pray. He longs for freedom and a return to his ministry with his Church. Let the truth shine brightly, that Rev. Vallente is innocent and instead hold to account those who have fabricated these charges against him.

Plant This. Not That.
Peasant Advocate planted with fabricated evidence enters 44th month in detention

In the early morning hours of June 25, 2019, Rev. Nathaniel “Dodo” Vallente was detained under trumped-up charges, from fi****ms and explosives planted against him.

Why is this government so tone deaf on the cries of the people? They wanted to import onions, a cheap fix to an “onion crisis” that was manufactured by the cartel of Buyers and Sellers. Though it is true that some farmers were discouraged by previous losses on onion crops (created through low farmgate prices and high costs of inputs), there were actually available onions. The cartel just hoarded them in storage.

We need a government that will support the farmers, toward true food security for the country! It would be a kind of support that also encourages the prosperity of the growers and helps farmers to plant what is needed by the nation.

Rev. Vallente understands this! He has been a farmers’ advocate for decades. He joins with the farmers and helps them protect their lands and increase their production and their profits, by working together in a people’s organization.

And what did the government do in retaliation for his efforts?
They planted!

Not vegetables—they planted Rev. Vallente with contraband and threw him into jail, where he remains to this day.

Let’s protect our farmers and our farmers’ advocates!
Dismiss the fabricated charges against Rev. Vallente!
Plant seeds of hope and justice!
