Prayerful Greetings on the First Anniversary of the Election of Pope Leo XIV | May 8, 2025 – May 8, 2026 | Today, we joyfully commemorate the first anniversary of the election of Pope Leo XIV, a moment of grace for the Universal Church and a special blessing for the Augustinian Family.

On this historic day one year ago, the Holy Father introduced himself to the world with words that resonated deeply in every Augustinian heart:

“I am a son of Saint Augustine, an Augustinian.”

In that simple yet profound declaration, Pope Leo XIV reminded the Church that the spirituality of communion, humility, truth, and charity continues to guide the People of God.

As sons and daughters of Augustine of Hippo, we give thanks to God for the gift of his life, vocation, and Petrine ministry. May the Lord continue to strengthen him with wisdom, courage, and a shepherd’s heart as he leads the Church in unity and love.

IN SANTO NIÑO, WE ARE ONE.

United as one Augustinian family, we gather in faith and joy around the Señor Santo Niño, the Child who draws us together in love, humility, and mission. In Him, we are one heart and one mind; in the Santo Niño, we are renewed as brothers and sisters called to serve, to love, and to rejoice as one community.

May the Santo Niño continue to guide the Augustinians, strengthen our communion, and inspire us to live the Gospel with childlike trust and joyful service.

IN HIM WE ARE ONE | As the day gently came to a close, we gathered for Solemn Vespers at the Capilla de Santa Rita in Colegio San Agustin–Bulacan, presided over by Fray Norman Abello, OSA.

On the eve of the Solemnity of Christ the King, we prayed together with one heart and one mind united in gratitude, faith, and the Augustinian way of community.
