Ang salitang “disciple” ay nagmula sa Griyegong salita, ito ay ang mathētēs (μαθητής), na ang ibig sabihin ay:

-Mag-aaral, tagasunod, o alagad na hindi lang nakikinig kundi isinasabuhay ang turo ng kanyang g**o.

Hindi lang ito follower or disciple by name, kundi:

May dedicated heart
May commitment
May pagsunod
May pagsasakripisyo

Vacation Bible School 2026

As we watched these children sing “Mahal Ako ni Hesus,” it felt like heaven gently reminding us of a simple but powerful truth — we are loved by Jesus.

In their small voices and pure hearts, the message became even clearer. “Mahal ako ni Hesus… sabi ng Bibliya.”
No deep theology, no complicated words, just a childlike faith that declares what many of us sometimes forget.

These children sang with joy, but more than that, they believed what they were singing. That from the very beginning, God has been caring for them, guiding them, and loving them every single day.

And maybe that’s what makes this moment so special.

Because in a world that often teaches doubt, fear, and uncertainty, these young hearts are learning something unshakable

that they belong to Jesus,
that they are never alone,
and that they are deeply loved.

This is more than a presentation.
This is faith being planted.
This is truth being declared.
This is a generation being raised to know who they are in Christ.

May they never forget this song.
May they never outgrow this truth.
And may their lives continue to echo these words:

Mahal ako ni Hesus.

Vacation Bible School 2026
Celebrating Young Hearts Growing in Faith

From smiles and laughter to lessons that will stay in their hearts for a lifetime, what a beautiful journey this Vacation Bible School 2026 has been.

Seeing these children stand, participate, and graduate is more than just a moment of completion. It is a glimpse of seeds being planted, seeds of faith, truth, and love for God that will continue to grow in their lives.

In every recitation, every song, every simple act of kindness, we witnessed something powerful. Young hearts learning to listen, to obey, to love, and to follow God in their own little ways. And while the program may have ended, what God has started in them will continue.

As it is written, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6

To all the children who participated and graduated, you are loved, you are chosen, and you are being shaped for a purpose far greater than you can imagine.

To the teachers, facilitators, and everyone who poured their time, patience, and love, thank you for being vessels of God’s grace.

And to the parents, thank you for entrusting your children and allowing them to grow in the knowledge of God.

May the seeds planted during this VBS continue to grow, bearing lasting fruit in lives fully devoted to Him.

All glory to God for what He has done and for what He will continue to do.

Lucas 9:57–62

“Habang sila’y naglalakad sa daan, may nagsabi kay Jesus, ‘Susunod ako sa iyo saan ka man magpunta.’ Ngunit sinabi ni Jesus, ‘May lungga ang mga asong gubat at may pugad ang mga ibon, ngunit ang Anak ng Tao ay walang matuluyan.’ May isa namang tinawag si Jesus, ‘Sumunod ka sa akin,’ ngunit sumagot siya, ‘Panginoon, hayaan mo muna akong ilibing ang aking ama.’ At sinabi ni Jesus, ‘Hayaan mong ilibing ng mga patay ang kanilang mga patay, ngunit ikaw, humayo ka at ipahayag mo ang kaharian ng Diyos.’ May isa pang nagsabi, ‘Susunod ako sa iyo, Panginoon, ngunit hayaan mo muna akong magpaalam sa aking pamilya.’ Sinabi ni Jesus, ‘Ang sinumang nag araro ngunit lumilingon pa sa likod ay hindi karapat dapat sa kaharian ng Diyos.’”

Ang pagsunod kay Cristo ay hindi laging madali. Maraming beses, gusto nating sumunod pero may mga “sandali lang” tayong hinihingi. “Panginoon, susunod ako… pero ayusin ko muna ito.” “Susunod ako… pero hintayin mo muna ako.” Parang ang puso natin ay nahahati, isang paa nasa harap, isang paa nakaapak pa rin sa nakaraan. Tulad ng mga taong lumapit kay Jesus sa kasulatan, handa silang sumunod… pero hindi pa buo.

Kapag pinagninilayan natin ito, napapaisip tayo: ano ba talaga ang inuuna natin? Ang kaginhawaan? Ang takot maiwan ang nakasanayan? O ang tawag ng Diyos? Dahil ang pagsunod kay Jesus ay hindi lamang salita, ito ay buong puso, buong tiwala, at buong pagtalikod sa anumang humahadlang sa Kanya. Hindi Niya sinasabing bawal magmahal ng pamilya o magplano, pero malinaw na ang kaharian ng Diyos ay hindi pwedeng pangalawa lang.

Kaya ngayon, ito ang paanyaya: huwag mong ipagpaliban ang pagtugon sa Diyos. Kung may tinatawag Siya sa iyo, sa paglilingkod, sa pagbabago, sa paglapit sa Kanya, tumugon ka ngayon. Bitawan mo ang mga dahilan, ang mga “mamaya na,” at ang mga bagay na pumipigil sa iyo. Hindi ka Niya tatawagin kung hindi ka Niya kayang akayin.

Sa huli, ang tunay na pagsunod ay isang desisyong paulit ulit nating pinipili araw araw. Isang hakbang ng pananampalataya, kahit hindi malinaw ang daan. Ngunit sigurado ito: kapag si Cristo ang sinunod mo, hindi ka Niya pababayaan. At sa bawat hakbang na hindi ka na lumilingon sa likod, mas lalong luminaw ang direksyong patungo sa buhay na tunay at walang hanggan.
