The Parish of St. John Bosco Tondo is one of the parishes of the Vicariate of Sto. Niรฑo de Tondo under the jurisdiction of the Archdiocese of Manila. It was established as a parish in July 1969. The parish covers 17 barangays of Zone 9 in the first District of Tondo, Manila. To date, the population of the parish is estimated at 88,191. There are around 18,000 households with an average household size of 4.9 persons.
Organizationally, the parish is headed by the parish priest with an assistant parish priest. In most cases, the Salesian Youth Director assigned to serve as the assistant parish priest. The lay organization assisting the parish priest in coordinating and implementing religious programs and church activities is the Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) composed of the heads of mandated organizations. The PPC Officers are elected every two years by the representatives from mandated organizations. With the establishment as a parish in 1969, mandated organizations emerged such as Adoracion Nocturna, Block Rosary and Legion of Mary. To date, there are 10 ministries, including the Youth Ministry and 14 adult associations, 9 choir groups and 12 youth associations serving the Parish and undertaking religious activities. There are about 300 adult members and 200 members of the youth associations actively serving the Parish.
