Today, the Church celebrates the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal High Priest. Christ offered not sacrifices of the old covenant, but His very self upon the Cross for the salvation of the world. His priesthood is eternal, His mercy unending, and His love the bridge that reconciles humanity to the Father. Through the Holy Eucharist, He continues to nourish and sanctify His Church, remaining forever the ultimate Mediator between God and humanity.

May we also pray for priests, bishops, and seminarians, that they may faithfully reflect the heart of Christ in their ministry.

Lord Jesus Christ, Eternal High Priest, have mercy on us. 🙏🏼💕

In the mystery of the Church..
Mary stands as Mother and model, her life wholly surrendered to God’s will from Nazareth to Calvary and into Pentecost’s dawn.
In her silent strength and steadfast faith, she became the first disciple of Christ and the spiritual Mother of all believers.

Today, we honor her maternal presence in the life of the Church, gently guiding us toward her Son, where faith is formed and love is perfected.✨️

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us 🙏🏼💕

"PENTECOST SUNDAY"🔥

Pentecost is an important feast in the Catholic Church that commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary after Jesus ascended into heaven. This event is found in the Book of Acts 2:1–4.

On the day of Pentecost:
• The Apostles received the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.
• They became courageous in proclaiming the Good News.
• It is considered the “birthday of the Church” because this marked the beginning of the Church’s mission to preach throughout the world.

While the Apostles were gathered together:
• A mighty rushing wind filled the place.
• “Tongues as of fire” rested upon them.
• They were filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in different languages.
These were signs of:
• the presence of God,
• the power of the Holy Spirit, and
• the mission of the Church to spread the Gospel.

WHAT ARE THE SYMBOLS OF PENTECOST?
🔥 Fire — purification and the zeal of the Holy Spirit
🌬️ Wind — the power and presence of God
🕊️ Dove — peace and holiness
🔴 Red — the fire of faith and love

Pentecost invites us to:
• be courageous in our faith,
• live according to the Holy Spirit, and
• share Christ with others.

“Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful and kindle in us the fire of Your love. Amen.” 🙏🏼💕

JANUARY 3: THE LORD SAVES
The Most Holy Name of Jesus
---
Our Lord Jesus’ name in Hebrew is Yeshua (ישוע) which means, “the Lord saves.” It was the name given by the angel to Mary and was given to Jesus by Joseph. The spread of the devotion to the Most Holy Name is attributed to St. Bernardino of Siena. The monogram of the Holy Name (known as the Christogram), contains the letters IHS, which is an acronym of the Latin “Iesus Hominum Salvator,” which means “Jesus, Savior of Men.”

“SOLEMNITY OF THE IMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY | 08 DECEMBER”

✝️ In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, Amen.

O God, who by the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin prepared a worthy dwelling for your Son, grant, we pray, that, as you preserved her from every stain by virtue of the Death of your Son, which you foresaw, so, through her intercession, we, too, may be cleansed and admitted to your presence. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever,
Amen.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee 🙏🏼
