The Dicastery for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments added the Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church to be celebrated on Monday after Pentecost, and the Feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Eternal High Priest to be celebrated on Thursday after Pentecost into the General Roman Calendar.

In our shared mission of accompanying and guiding children in their growth in Christian values and spiritual life, the Ministry on Youth and Children’s Liturgy, warmly invites your Parish and School Liturgical Animators for Children to participate in a Liturgical Training and Formation Program based on Directory for Masses with Children.

The formation program is open to priests, religious and consecrated persons, catechists, campus ministers, and those in charge of the Children’s Liturgy in their respective parishes or schools. The formation is also open to participants from the suffragan dioceses of Manila.

1. Please read and follow the step-by-step procedure found in the letter below. You may register through the provided link at https://bit.ly/childrensliturgyformation. Registration is open until May 29, 2026 (Friday).

2. The formation program will be held on June 6, 2026 (Saturday), from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the 3rd Floor Multi-Purpose Hall, Lay Formation Center, San Carlos Pastoral Formation Complex, EDSA, Guadalupe, Makati City. Due to limited capacity of the venue, participation will be limited to 200 participants only.

3. The solidarity fee is Php 200.00 per participant. Meals are not included in the solidarity fee. However, participants may pre-order food from the Lay Formation Center upon arrival on the day of formation. Food may also be ordered through GrabFood.

RE: RENEWAL / ONGOING FORMATION SCHEDULE FOR GREETERS AND COLLECTORS AND MUSIC MINISTERS

Greetings in the Lord!

We are glad to inform you of the program for the Renewal Formation for the GREETERS AND COLLECTORS and MUSIC MINISTERS for 2026.

Each lay liturgical minister must update his/her data profile using the googles forms. You may use the link https://bit.ly/renewalformation2025 or scan the QR to access the form.

RENEWAL FORMATION REMINDERS

1. We will follow the Pre-registration procedures for our renewal / on-going formation.

PROCEDURE OF PRE-REGISTRATION

Step 1: Ministry coordinators should inform their members of the date of renewal seminar and confirm their attendance.

Step 2: After the evaluation, the ministry coordinator will secure a recommendation letter containing:

β€’ The complete names of the participants who will attend the seminar. Indicate their FULL NAMES: SURNAME, GIVEN NAME, MIDDLE NAME. (eg. Dela Cruz, Juan Masipag).
β€’ It should be addressed to Fr. Genaro O. Diwa, Cluster Coordinator, Commission on Divine Worship (Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission Manila)
β€’ It should be signed by the Parish Priest, Worship Coordinator, and Ministry Coordinator

The Commission on Divine Worship (Archdiocesan Liturgical Commission) will not entertain participants whose names are not included in the recommendation letter prior to the signing of the parish priest. We shall not also allow ministry coordinators to add participants’ names in the recommendation letter since they are given ample time to complete the list and accomplish the letter.

Step 3: The Ministry Coordinator may send the recommendation letter via email [email protected] ahead of time for the preparation of the IDs and materials before going to the office to claim them.

Step 4: Bring the original recommendation letter to ALC office along with the solidarity fee of Php. 100.00 per participant to claim the newly issued IDs one month before the renewal seminar. Coordinators are advised to check the IDs for errors before leaving the office. The coordinator/s has the option to have the IDs picked-up by a representative or courier if they cannot come to the office personally. We will not distribute IDs on site.

Step 5: Distribute the newly issued IDs to the confirmed participants and remind them to bring it on the day of seminar for the attendance tagging.

2. Mark the date of the on-going formation seminar assigned to your vicariate. Each ministry is assigned with different vicariates to maximize the allowable total number of attendees in the venue per Saturday. It is highly recommended that you attend the date assigned to your vicariate.

3. The formations will be held at the LAYFORCE Chapel, San Carlos Pastoral Formation Complex, EDSA, Guadalupe Viejo, Makati. The formation for the GREETERS AND COLLECTORS will be the morning sessions (8 am – 12 noon); for the MUSIC MINISTERS is the afternoon session (1-5 pm).

4. We encourage participants to come early for the registration during seminars. The registration for the renewal seminar is only until 9:00 am for morning sessions and until 2:00 pm for afternoon sessions.

5. In every renewal formation, a particular parish is delegated as MASS SPONSOR. Their task is to assign and prepare: the LECTORS who will proclaim the readings, EMHC to help in distributing communion, CHOIR to sing in the Mass, GREETERS AND COLLECTORS who are in-charge of the collection and altar servers who will serve in the mass at the start of the formation program.

6. The topic for this year’s renewal will focus on the Eucharistic Spirituality.

There will be a pre-registration. The following are as follows:

1. Ministry heads should inform their members of the date and time of their formation schedule.
2. The Ministry Head will secure a recommendation letter for those members eligible for the renewal program signed by the parish priest, worship head, and the ministry head.
3. Kindly send the soft copy via: [email protected].
4. Deliver the letter to the ALC office.
5. Kindly see the attached sample letter of recommendation.
6. We suggest a simple donation fee of Php. 50.00 per member.
7. Formation will happen at the place designated.
8. Please come early and participate from the beginning until the end of the formation.
9. Schedule will be as follows:

11:45am - Midday Prayer and Home Sweet Home
