Beginning today, our series centers on the theme UNSHAKEABLE: Advancing God’s Kingdom That Cannot Be Destroyed, based on Daniel 2:44.

As we enter our seven-day prayer and fasting, we invite everyone to join us daily as we seek the Lord together. This sacred time allows us to realign our lives with God’s will and to consecrate the rest of the year fully to Him.

As we humble ourselves corporately in prayer and fasting, we can confidently expect God to move mightily in our midst and advance His unshakeable Kingdom among us.

Shalom, LJOR Family!💜

With just a day to go before our Annual Prayer Invasion, let us pause and remember why we fast, based on our 2018 Prayer and Fasting topic entitled “Radical Christians: Living Committedly in This Generation.”

Why Do We Fast?

In the Bible, God’s people fasted together when:
📖 They faced crisis or calamity (Joel 1:13–14)
📖 There was a serious threat and a need for God’s intervention (Esther 4:15–17)
📖 They sought repentance and mercy (Jonah 3:6–9)
📖 They needed direction and commissioning from the Holy Spirit (Acts 13:2–3)

These examples remind us that fasting is not about religious appearance, but about humbling ourselves before God and seeking Him earnestly.

When Does Fasting Lose Its Meaning?
📖 When it ignores justice, compassion, and care for the needy (Isaiah 58:3–10)
📖 When it is done to impress people rather than honor God (Matthew 6:16)

True fasting aligns our hearts with God’s heart.

As We Prepare, Let Us Pray For:

🙏 God’s clear direction in stewarding all He has entrusted to us—our lives, church, resources, and vision
🙏 Genuine repentance and honest confession before the Lord

May our fasting and prayer reflect a radical commitment to God as we live faithfully in this generation.

Hi, LJOR Family! 💜

As we count down to our Annual Prayer Invasion, let us take a moment to understand what fasting truly is.

Fasting is a voluntary act of going without food—or setting aside something we regularly enjoy—for a spiritual purpose. Simply put, we fast from food so we can feast on God. It is not a way to manipulate God or force Him to align with our plans. Instead, fasting realigns our hearts, desires, and will with His.

Fasting is a biblical spiritual discipline. Jesus Himself expected His followers to fast, and He taught that God honors fasting done with the right heart. It is a deliberate choice to reduce or refrain from food for a specific time and purpose, creating space for deeper prayer, humility, and dependence on God.

As Jesus reminds us:

“When you give up eating, don’t put on a sad face like the hypocrites… Your Father sees what is done in secret, and He will reward you.”
Matthew 6:16–18 (NCV)

We invite everyone to join the LJOR Prayer and Fasting starting this Sunday, January 11 until January 17, 2026.

Sa mundong puno ng mga sirang pangako, ang Diyos ay palaging tapat sa Kanyang salita. Sa Biblia, ipinapakita na kapag nangako ang Diyos, tiyak Niyang tutuparin ito. Ang Kanyang mga pangako ay nagbibigay sa atin ng pag-asa, lalo na sa mga panahon ng paghihintay at pagsubok.

Ipinangako ng Diyos ang buhay na walang hanggan sa lahat ng naniniwala kay Jesus, at ito ay ang katiyakan ng walang hanggang relasyon sa Kanya. (1 Juan 2:25)

Ang mga nasa kay Cristo ay wala nang hatol, sapagkat pinalaya na tayo sa kasalanan at kamatayan sa pamamagitan ng Kanyang sakripisyo. (Roma 8:1)

Hindi rin tayo pababayaan ng Diyos maligaw dahil Siya ang nagbibigay sa atin ng lakas upang manatiling tapat sa Kanya. (Judas 1:24-25)

Maaasahan din natin na palaging tatapusin ng Diyos ang Kanyang nasimulan sa atin, at sa bawat hakbang ng ating buhay, Siya ay kasama natin, ginagabayan tayo patungo sa Kanyang mabuting plano. (Filipos 1:6)

Ang Diyos ay tapat, ngunit hindi laging madali ang buhay sa mundo. At ang tunay na kayamanan at kasaganaan ay nasa ating walang hanggang relasyon sa Kanya.

Panalangin: Ama, salamat sa Iyong mga pangako. Sa oras ng pag-aalinlangan, ipaalala Mo sa akin ang Iyong mga salita. Bigyan Mo ako ng tibay ng loob upang magtiwala sa Iyong plano at manampalataya sa Iyong katapatan. Nawa'y magningning ang Iyong mga pangako sa aking buhay at maging gabay ko araw-araw. Sa pangalan ni Jesus, Amen.
