Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.

If you created something and someone else got all the credit for doing it, that wouldn’t be right. Yet everyday people enjoy the sunrise, the mountains, the oceans, even the breath in their lungs and don’t give God the glory He deserves. So as you start your day today, let God know just how much you appreciate all He’s done and continues to do each and every day.

And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, ‘We have seen extraordinary things today.’


When Jesus healed the paralyzed man, the crowd was amazed. But the greatest miracle wasn't that the man walked home, it was that Jesus proclaimed his sins were forgiven. By healing him, Jesus showed everyone He wasn't just an ordinary man. He was the promised Messiah with authority not only to heal broken bodies, but to forgive broken sinners.

If you’re trying to eat healthier, you don’t spend all day thinking about donuts. Instead, you fill your plate with foods that will nourish you. In the same way, the Christian life isn’t just about avoiding sin, it’s about pursuing the freedom Christ has given you. Freedom to allow the fruits of the Spirit to grow deeper in your heart every single day.

For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor again does a bad tree bear good fruit, for each tree is known by its own fruit. For figs are not gathered from thornbushes, nor are grapes picked from a bramble bush.


If you picked an apple from a tree and it tasted bitter, you probably wouldn't go back for another. But if it was sweet and delicious, you'd keep coming back again and again. In the same way, when we surrender our lives to Christ, the Holy Spirit produces good fruit in us. And that fruit helps those around you taste and see just how good God really is.

He who gathers crops in summer is a prudent son, but he who sleeps during harvest is a disgraceful son.

Farmers know that some seasons are more productive than others. Summer is one of those seasons. It’s the best time to work the fields, plant the seeds, pull the weeds, and do everything possible to prepare for the harvest to come. Is there something you need to plant today?
