On March 1, 2026, RAY de Manila gathered as one community for a meaningful Lenten Recollection, titled “Ang Dakilang Pagsagip: Si Hesus at ang Ating Kaligtasan.” A day of prayer, reflection, and renewal. ✨

This Lent, we are reminded that salvation is not just a list of rules or traditions, but a living relationship with Jesus who took upon Himself our sins, shame, and condemnation. In a world facing crises of meaning, technology, and identity, young people often struggle between reality and the digital world, pressured by comparison, academic expectations, and the search for validation. Yet hope remains, just as in the story of Pandora’s box, hope is what God leaves us to hold on to.

We are called to anchor our identity in Christ, to see life as broad and beautiful, and not be trapped by past wounds, toxic relationships, or the narrowness of self. Lent is a time of fasting, abstinence, and self-denial, but more importantly, it is a time of conversion: to mortify ourselves, to cooperate with God’s grace, and to rediscover that man is naturally good, created for holiness.

As St. Augustine said, “When you are close to God, you are close to grace.” Let us draw near to Him this season, for in the Cross we find meaning, value, freedom, and salvation.

Jesus is the solution to all.

Your guidance, wisdom, and quiet spiritual strength have been a steady light for us, leading us closer to Jesus Christ and inspiring us to live the Gospel with joy, compassion, and humility just like St. Augustine taught.

Thank you for being a faithful shepherd to our community, patient in teaching, generous in service, correcting us gently, and reminding us always of God's unwavering love.

RAY de Manila joined the Recollect Augustinian Youth National Summit last January 29 - February 1, 2026, held at USJ-R Basak Campus, Cebu City with the theme: 15thRAYNS: “PROCLAIM CHRIST WHEREVER YOU CAN.”✨

The delegates joined for a transformative Youth Summit—growing in leadership, deepening friendships, and strengthening our relationship with God. This memorable experience helped us the youth understand important aspects of our own lives and our roles with our groups and communities. Also revisited their personal life plans and collaborated actively in revitalizing JARs, fostering a vibrant community spirit.🤩

To our generous sponsors who helped the RAY de Manila send delegates at Recollect Augustinian Youth National Summit, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude for allowing our youth to be able to participate, learn, and grow in spirit through the event. Because of you, they were given the opportunity to be inspired and to reflect on their purpose.
