In 1958, a small group of Ladies from Sta Ana attended several meetings for formation and instruction in the house of Sis. Prioress in the parish of the Immaculate Conception(now Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception). This small group of ladies who were mostly from the Legion of Mary senior Presidium became the core group on December 08, 1958. The new members had their first formal reception as
novices on July 16, 1958 and their profession on December 08, 1958 making their vows of chastity, simplicity and obedience. The first Filipino Carmelite priest at that time, Rev. Alejandro Carrascoza, O.F.M.,Parish Priest of Sta. Ana and the first Prioress of the Community, Sr. Soledad Yamzon, T.O.Carm., sent letters to Rome on the founding of the Third Order of Carmelite, Sta.Ana Chapter. The letter bore fruit on march 2, 1959, a canonical approval from Rome was received that the chapter has been officially enrolled in the Book of Carmelite Membership in Rome.
