𝐔𝐂𝐂𝐏-𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐨

MANILA — Members of the UCCP-Bacood Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) gathered at the UCCP National Office Chapel yesterday for a solemn solidarity prayer action for Mary Jane Veloso. During the service, Bishop Victor Paller delivered a poignant reflection centered on hope, truth, and justice. Rev. Kyle Valdez was tasked to read the official solidarity letter and prayer issued by the Council of Bishops, which firmly asserts Veloso’s identity as a trafficking victim and demands her absolute freedom. The liturgy concluded with a powerful congregation rendition of the civil rights hymn, “We Shall Overcome Someday.”

Together, let us accompany Mary Jane Veloso and all migrant workers who continue to face exploitation, trafficking, and injustice. May our prayers become a living witness to Christ's love, our presence a sign of hope, and our solidarity a faithful response to God's call to "𝐿𝑒𝑡 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑟𝑜𝑙𝑙 𝑜𝑛 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟, 𝑟𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡𝑒𝑜𝑢𝑠𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟-𝑓𝑎𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑚." Let us unite our voices in prayer, affirm the sacred worth of every life, and continue to proclaim that God's justice brings freedom, healing, and hope.

Thank you, Sis. Susan for gracing our worship service last Sunday and to you Bro. Josephus and your family, for sharing your previous Sundays and your faith with us over these past four weeks. Though geographical boundaries and jurisdictions may shift, we remain firmly united as one body in Christ. May the Lord continue to bless your home churches! 😇

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐚 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.

This past Freedom Sunday, we were challenged to look at where Jesus’ footsteps are leading and He is always heading toward the margins, journeying with the Anawim (the marginalized).

In Matthew 10:16, Jesus reminds us, "I am sending you out like sheep among wolves." The life of faith is dynamic and full of challenges, but we have radical freedom from fear because the Good Shepherd is walking right beside us. Let's not just celebrate freedom inside our church building; let's bring true freedom outside to a world that is harassed and helpless.

In preparation for the upcoming church year, our official tithes envelopes have been updated.

We would like to formally thank Teacher AJ, Teacher Maby, Ate Pipay, and Rev. Kyle for their invaluable time and effort in completing this project. Your labor of love is deeply appreciated.

We trust that this tool will greatly assist our future Board of Deacons in their stewardship duties. Above all, we move forward believing that the Lord will continue to sustain His ministry and provide abundantly through the faithfulness of His people.

Counting Blessings, one coin at a time!

Last Sunday, we started opening and counted the returned PIG (Providing Increase for God’s work) piggy banks as part of our ASF: Advancing Stewardship Fund. Thank you to everyone who joyfully shared in this mission. While we may not have had the full number of our Board of Deacons present, our BOD chair Leah VBenito generously made sure the volunteers were cared for with snacks. Grateful for every act of stewardship, service and support!
