“WHAT SHOULD A LOVE WITNESS DO FOR THE LOST?”
1. THEY WERE CONSTANTLY
WITNESSING AND PRAISING GOD
— Those who are constant in witnessing and praising God serve as a light to the lost by consistently reflecting their faith through words and actions.
Their continual worship and testimony create a powerful example, showing that a life devoted to God is fulfilling, joyful, and anchored in hope. This steadfastness inspires others to notice God’s presence and opens doors for sharing His love.
Acts 2:46-47
Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad.
2. DYNAMIC WITNESS
SPIRIT, THE LORD ADDED TO THE CHURCH DAILY THOSE THEY WERE SAVED
— A dynamic witness actively shares the message of God with boldness, energy, and consistency.
— Their faith is not passive they engage with people, meet needs, and demonstrate God’s love in practical ways. As a result, the Holy Spirit works through their actions, drawing many to salvation and leading them to join the church. This principle reflects how active, Spirit-filled witness can lead to daily growth in the body of Christ.
Acts 2:47
"praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."
3. WE ARE ALL TO BE INVOLVED IN OUTREACH
— Outreach is not just the responsibility of a few leaders or evangelists it is a calling for every believer.
— Each member of the church has unique gifts and opportunities to share God’s love in their community, workplace, or social circles. Being involved in outreach means actively participating in acts of service, prayer, evangelism, and mentorship, helping to extend God’s kingdom and bring the lost closer to Him. Collective involvement ensures the church impacts lives effectively and demonstrates the unity of Christ’s body in action.
Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
4. THE WHOLE CHURCH IS TO BE A TEAM TO REACH THE WORLD
— The church functions best when everyone works together as a unified team in spreading the gospel.
— Each member, whether in leadership, service, or lay participation, contributes their unique gifts to the mission.
— By coordinating efforts, supporting one another, and focusing on the common goal of reaching the lost, the entire church can have a far greater impact in transforming lives and advancing God’s kingdom worldwide. Unity amplifies the message and demonstrates the love of Christ in action.
Acts 1:8 (NIV)
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
