"Medicine for the Soul"

Though bitter like medicine, I drink,
For healing flows from every ink.
God’s word may cut, the truth may sting,
But in its depths, sweet comfort springs.

When joy is lost and trials near,
I turn to pages bright and clear.
Though some may scoff, and others leave,
I cling to words that help me breathe.

For every verse, though hard to bear,
Holds treasures rich, beyond compare.
In whispers soft or thunder’s roar,
It leads me close to heaven’s door.

I do not flinch, though truth may bruise,
For in His wisdom, there’s no ruse.
His word, a lamp to guide my way,
Through darkest night to brightest day.

Though hard to grasp, and hard to see,
It speaks of love that’s meant for me.
So I will study, I will learn,
Until my heart, for Him, does yearn.

For in the lines, I know He speaks,
And in my weakness, strength He seeks.
Though bitter like medicine, I know,
God’s word will heal and help me grow.
