My Refuge Christian Church

We have reduced God to seeing things our way, to getting the things we want and leave Him altogether when times are good. What Christendom really needs today is to be Apprehended By Truth. It would spell a lot of difference in the way we live and our lives would be so rich with meaning and purpose and filled with so much joy and peace.

A world that’s just getting by with people groping in the dark. A world so self driven with people thirsting to belong, hungering for attention and approval. A world that aspires to climb heights never reached before and seeks cheap thrills yet questions at the end of the day their meaning and life’s purpose. And then there’s that minority, a remnant lifted up from the mundane and humdrum. A called people taken out and given Life. We’ll tackle such a privileged lot who’s Wide Awake to tackle everything that comes for the glory of Another…his/ her God!

Time and Time Again, we have been taught to make The Right Choice but how could we ever do that if there is no firm resolve within us to do the right thing, to suppress the flesh making way for God’s will to happen and do the disciplines of Christianity. The Christian faces so many obstacles, so many challenges and for us to be conquerors, we need the Holy Spirit to guide us along the way.

The minute we belong to God by faith began our persistent and prevailing war with our enemies: the devil, the world and our flesh. We will focus on the third enemy mentioned, the flesh. Every believer needs to know that his continuous pursuit is pleasing God and Putting to Death an Incorrigible Foe which is our flesh.
