RYD 2026 | Day 2: PARISH NIGHT โœจ

Last night, the youth of VSJ joyfully celebrated Parish Night together with the Puruy-anans and different parishes of the Diocese of Calbayog during the Regional Youth Day 2026.

Though we came from various Puruy-anhan, parishes, and foster families, we gathered as oneโ€”united in fellowship and strengthened by our shared culture, traditions, beliefs, faith, and God-given talents.

Indeed, we are one family in Christ. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’šโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’›

RYD 2026 | Day 2: Community Immersion

On the second day of RYD 2026, the District 8 youth from the Archdiocese of Cebu were assigned to different Puruy-anan in various parishes for our community immersion.

Community immersion is an experience where we go beyond our comfort zones to encounter others, listen to their stories, and share our faith journey. It allows us to understand different realities while living out Christโ€™s call through service and compassion.

As we shared the teachings of the Catechism, we were also blessed to hear the heartfelt stories of our fellow ka-sangkay in each Puruy-anan. Through these encounters, we truly felt Godโ€™s presence moving within every community we visited.

RYD 2026 | Day 2: Eucharistic Celebration at Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral & Plenary Talks

We joyfully took part in the Holy Eucharist at the Sts. Peter and Paul Cathedral in the Diocese of Calbayog, followed by enriching plenary talks that strengthened our faith journey.

Bp. Isabelo encouraged us: โ€œHave the courage to follow Jesus even when it is challenging, because true courage is rooted in fidelity.โ€

Fr. Fiel reminded us of our mission: โ€œWe are called by Jesus to reach out to the digital world a place filled with real people, real struggles, and a deep desire for God.โ€

Bro. Rix shared an inspiring message: โ€œHoliness is not about imitating others, but about discovering our unique way of living showing kindness, offering help, and inspiring others to grow in faith.โ€

Day 2 calls us to live our faith boldly, to be genuine witnesses of Christ, and to bring His love wherever we are especially in todayโ€™s digital age.
