It begins in the dark with the Service of Light, where the blazing Paschal Candle is lit to symbolize Christ's resurrection scattering the darkness of death. Next, the Liturgy of the Word recounts the epic history of God's saving actionsβ€”from Creation through the prophetsβ€”culminating in the joyful return of the "Alleluia" and the Gospel account of the empty tomb. This spiritual awakening flows into the Liturgy of Baptism, where new members are welcomed into the faith and the congregation holds lit candles to renew their own baptismal promises. π’π€ππ“πŽ π„ππ“πˆπ„π‘π‘πŽ | The "Holy Burial" procession is a solemn, mournful march held late in the afternoon or evening of Good Friday. It features a life-sized image of the dead Christ (the Santo Entierro) lying in an ornate glass casket, followed by devotees dressed in mourning clothes, acting as a funeral cortege for the Lord.

The streets of Alang-alang and Ibabao-Estancia are filled with prayers and songs of the faithful.

The world falls silent. Walking in the solemn procession of the Santo Entierro, we mourn the death of the Savior and accompany Him as He is laid to rest in the tomb.
