In today’s generation, many children are often drawn to gadgets, social media, and electronic entertainment, making church participation less common. Seeing our young ones choose to spend time in prayer, worship, and activities that deepen their faith is truly inspiring and heartwarming. Traditions like Flores de Mayo remind us of the importance of leading our children closer to Mama Mary, who lovingly guides us to her Son, Jesus, and teaches us values of prayer, kindness, humility, and love. Flores de Mayo has long been a tradition that helps engage Filipino children and youth in Marian devotion and faith formation.
May we all continue to guide our children toward Christ, helping them discover that the Church is not only a place to visit but a home where they can grow in faith, friendship, and love for God. May Mama Mary continue to intercede for us and keep our families under her loving care.
