Near Our First Anniversary Prayer and Reflection
Heavenly Father,
As we prepare to celebrate the first anniversary of Lyra Chamber Singers, our hearts are filled with gratitude.
When this group began, we had no membersβbut You sent people who were willing to serve.
We were not accepted by the first parish we approached, yet You never abandoned us. Instead, You opened the doors of , where we found a home for our ministry. There, we experienced acceptance, kindness, and the opportunity to serve You through music.
We had no organistβbut You provided one.
We had no place to rehearseβbut You gave us a place where we could learn, grow, and worship together.
When we lost our conductor, You sent another one.
When I wondered how we would pay for our conductor, You moved the parish to provide the financial support we needed.
I was afraid that I might not get along with the people in the parish, but instead You surrounded me with people who were kind, welcoming, and incredibly supportive.
I worried about transportation for our team building because we had no bus, but You sent a member who generously offered a vehicle.
Whenever members left the choir, You never allowed us to be empty. You continued to bring new people who were willing to sing and serve.
Lord, through all these moments, I have come to realize that Lyra Chamber Singers is not my dreamβit is Your ministry. I am simply the instrument You chose to build and lead it according to Your will.
Many times I asked myself if I should let go of LCS. But how can I let it go when You are the One who keeps filling every need and giving me the strength to continue?
Now, only one month remains before we celebrate our first anniversary. I never imagined we would come this far. What began with uncertainty has become a ministry sustained by Your grace and guided by Your faithful hand.
Thank You, Lord, because behind every closed door, You prepared a better one. Thank You because in every lack, You became our provider. Continue to teach us to remain humble, faithful in our service, and to use our music only for Your glory.
May this first year of Lyra Chamber Singers be only the beginning of many more years of faith, unity, friendship, and joyful service through music.
"Where You call, You also provide."
To God be all the glory.
Amen.
