Last night, I’am about to cross the Magsaysay Boulevard at Pureza Manila. While huge trucks, vans, jeepneys and small vehicles were moving, my eyes were only focused on the red light, waiting to turn it to green. The countdown started from 25.. down to 3, then 2 and 1.. Finally, when the green light appeared, with no hesitation I straightly walk and cross the road, never looking back nor looking sideways. I never mind if there are some vehicles near the pedestrian lane as long as I know that I’m in the right place and right moment at a given time. And thank God I safely crossed the road. It is really a big relief to me.
Beacuse of this, I came to realized that we, Christians all have this kind of God given moment in our lives. A time to stop, to wait and to go. But oftentimes we don’t have this much confidence in obedience because we look back and were stocked of what happened in our past. Filled with unbelief, thinking what will people think about us out of our obedience. We are so afraid!, yet good at pleasing people instead of having the boldness to walk uprightly on what God is telling us.
Brethren, this message is not for you to feel weak and worthless. But, to let you know that you are not alone. Many of us experienced same bad thing in the past. But let not the things of the past define you today or in the future because Jesus- Jesus already redeemed us!
