Singles For Christ (SFC)
CFC Singles for Christ (SFC) is one of the family ministries of Couples for Christ (CFC). The ministry was established in April 1993 to cater to the needs of single men and women from 21 to 40 years of age. Single refers to anyone within the said age group who is free from any legal impediments to marriage. The pastoral care offered by the ministry is not limited to those

who are called for marriage but includes as well those who may be considering either single blessedness or religious vocation as a state of life. It initially aimed to provide a Christian support environment for single men and women. However, SFC has taken a more proactive stance in providing that environment by ensuring that it brings Christ to wherever the singles are in the corporate setting, on campuses, in government institutions, even in prison, and in developing communities. SFC also intends to be relevant in the various realities of a single person in the aspects of Leadership, Lifestyle, Livelihood, and Lovelife.

We look to the Holy Family for inspiration. Pope Francis, in Amoris Laetitita, says: “Nazareth teaches us the meaning of family life, its loving communion, its simple and austere beauty, its sacred and inviolable character. May it teach how sweet and irreplaceable is its training, how fundamental and incomparable its role in the social order.” (AL 66)

Loving God and loving neighbor form the inseparable core of the Christian life. These two go together. Loving God is our highest ideal, the first and greatest commandment. But we cannot love God without loving our neighbor. We love our neighbor not only as we love ourselves, but as God does.

Today, the Divine Mercy Sunday School was filled with joy, laughter, and learning as the kids gathered for another fruitful session. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dear sister, Teacher Santiago for leading the storytelling activity that truly captured the children’s hearts and imagination. We also appreciate the efforts of our brothers and sisters who assisted in facilitating the activities, ensuring that the kids were engaged and had a meaningful experience.

This was a wonderful opportunity for Singles for Christ to bond with the children and extend our pastoral presence within the community. Moments like these remind us of the value of service, fellowship, and nurturing the young in their faith journey.

Event Highlight: Chapter Teaching – Financial Stewardship I
September 18, 2025 | SFC Divine Mercy

The Singles for Christ (SFC) community of Divine Mercy held its Chapter Teaching on Financial Stewardship I, with the goal of deepening members’ understanding of Christian finance, wise resource management, and the value of tithing.

The session reminded participants that everything belongs to God, and we are merely stewards of His gifts—entrusted to manage our resources wisely, unselfishly, and in accordance with His plan. Scripture readings highlighted that even our ability to earn and acquire wealth comes from the Lord’s blessing, not our own efforts.

The teaching also underscored how tithing supports the mission of the community—evangelization, member formation, community activities, and administrative needs—making it an essential way of sustaining God’s work.

Overall, the event inspired SFC members to adopt a Christian outlook on money, live with a spirit of generosity, and embrace financial stewardship not as a burden, but as a joyful response to God’s abundant blessings.

With hearts full of gratitude, the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Divine Mercy joyfully celebrates the 27th year of your priestly ministry. This special day is not just a commemoration of the day you were ordained, but a celebration of the life you have faithfully offered in service to God and His people.

Your unwavering dedication at the altar, your tireless efforts in guiding our community, and your constant reminder of God’s mercy have inspired us all to live out our faith with greater love and devotion. Through your ministry, we have witnessed what it means to be a true shepherd — one who listens, who walks with the flock, and who leads them closer to Christ.

As we give thanks for the gift of your priesthood, we pray that the Lord may continue to strengthen you with His grace, fill you with His peace, and bless you with many more fruitful years of ministry. May your life continue to echo the truth of the words: “Everything is grace.” (Romans 11:6)
