Let us pray for our brothers and sisters in Mindanao, as today they experienced a 7.8 magnitude earthquake earlier today.

Building structures have shown damages and schools suspended the first day of school for the safety of children.

We pray to our Lord for their protection and we ask for the intercession of Saint Emygdius, patron saint of earthquakes.

🇵🇭 Please keep the people of Mindanao, Philippines, in your prayers.

A powerful magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck off the coast of Mindanao on June 8, prompting tsunami warnings, evacuations, class suspensions, and reports of damage in several affected areas. Authorities continue to monitor aftershocks and assess the impact on communities.

This was announced by the shrine in a Facebook post on Thursday, June 4.
