IN PHOTOS | Renewal and Commissioning of the Liturgical Ministries and Religious Organizations of the Minor Basilica and Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag

Pentecost Sunday marks one of the most important feasts in the Church’s liturgical year. Occurring fifty days after Easter, Pentecost commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and the Blessed Virgin Mary, empowering them, as Jesus promised, to preach the Gospel to the whole world (Acts 2; see Acts 1:4-8). Often called the “birthday of the Church,” this day serves as a beautiful reminder that Christ continuously strengthens and guides His Church in carrying out the mission to “make disciples of all nations” (Matt. 28:18-20; see Isa. 49:6, 22).

Also celebrated was the Renewal and Commissioning of the Liturgical Ministries and Religious Organizations of the Minor Basilica and Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, held during the Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Jerone R. Geronimo, O.P., Parish Priest of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, together with Rev. Fr. Roberto G. Reyes, O.P., Rev. Fr. Samuel Sonny Gunawan, O.P., Rev. Fr. Jaime Allamilo, O.P., and Rev. Alexander Constantine Seño, O.P.

May the Holy Spirit continue to strengthen all commissioned members in their ministry and service to the Church, inspiring them to become faithful witnesses of Christ through prayer, dedication, and humble service.

IN PHOTOS | BARANGAY MASSES OF PENTECOST

The Basic Ecclesial Communities (BECs) of Babasit West, Lipit Sur, Babasit Pugaro, Pallang Pugaro, Oraan West, Lelemaan, Borac and Bisal in participation of BECs of Oraan East, Sta. Ines, Malicdem, Namacpacan and Cabaoangan came together in faith for their Barangay Masses held in their respective chapels.

The Holy Eucharist was brought to each community and was presided over by Rev. Fr. Jerone R. Geronimo, O.P., Rev. Fr. Roberto G. Reyes, O.P., Rev. Fr. Samuel Sonny Gunawan, O.P., Rev. Fr. Bobby Mangonon, Rev. Fr. Angelo Lopez and Rev. Fr. Gio Angelus Respondo. These sacred celebrations reminded the faithful of Christ's Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament and the grace of encountering Him even in the most humble places.
These Barangay Masses reflect the beauty and strength of our small Christian communities — grounded in faith, prayer, and unity amidst all circumstances.

We continue to encourage all members of our BECs to take part in their scheduled Barangay Masses, where our journey of faith is lived and strengthened. May our love for the Blessed Sacrament deepen our devotion to God and one another.

IN PHOTOS | HOLY HOUR AND CONFESSION – VICARIATE OF OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY OF MANAOAG

In this sacred season of Lent, a time of prayer, penance, and conversion, the Vicariate of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag gathered at the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag for a solemn Holy Hour and Confession. The faithful of Holy Cross Parish Laoac united in Eucharistic adoration, seeking spiritual renewal as they journey with Christ toward His Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

The Holy Hour was presided over by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Ferrer, who led the community into a profound meditation before the Blessed Sacrament. During this sacred time of silence and reflection, the Sacrament of Reconciliation was administered at the Paschal Chapel, offering the faithful the grace of repentance and the mercy of God—an essential Lenten call to conversion and a deeper communion with the Lord.
