Happy Birthday, Ms. Che!

Today, your parish family gives thanks to God for the precious gift of your life. Your generous service, steadfast faith, and pastoral care continue to inspire our community and draw many hearts closer to Christ.

As you celebrate another year of God's abiding grace, we pray that He will continually renew your spirit, strengthen you in every responsibility, and fill your ministry with lasting joy and peace.

"May He give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."
— Psalm 20:4

May the maternal intercession of Apo Baket, Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag, lovingly accompany you in every step of your journey. May she keep you under her mantle of protection, obtain for you abundant heavenly graces, and lead you ever closer to her Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

With gratitude and prayers, your parish family celebrates this special day with you, asking the Lord to continue making your life a living reflection of His mercy and love.

MEMORIAL OF SAINT MONICA | AUGUST 27

Saint Monica was born in 331 in Thagaste, North Africa, to a wealthy Christian family. Deeply devoted to prayer and the sacraments, she married Patricius, a pagan known for his difficult temper and unfaithfulness. Through her patience, gentleness, and persistent prayer, Monica eventually helped lead her husband to Christianity.

She became the mother of three children, including Saint Augustine, whose troubled search for truth caused her great sorrow. Monica never stopped praying for him and followed him from North Africa to Italy, where Augustine eventually converted and was baptized by Saint Ambrose. Her prayers and steadfast love played an important role in his journey of faith.

Before returning to Africa, Monica and Augustine stayed in Ostia, where they shared a profound spiritual experience, reflecting on eternal life and the greatness of God. Shortly afterward, Monica became ill and died at the age of 56, having fulfilled her greatest earthly hope: to see her son become a faithful Christian.

Saint Monica is remembered as a model of a devoted mother, patient wife, and woman of unwavering prayer, reminding us that persistent faith and love can lead others toward God.

MALIGAYANG PAGBATI SA BAGONG PARING DOMINIKANO,
RDO. P. ALEXANDER CONSTANTINE NARAG SEÑO, O.P.!

Maligayang Pagkapari, Rdo. P. Alexander!
