THE GREATEST BRIDGE EVER (PRAYER)

A bridge is a structure built to span a physical obstacle without blocking the way underneath. It is constructed for the purpose of providing passage over the obstacle, which is usually something that is otherwise difficult or impossible to cross (Wikipedia).
However, I describe mine as "Bastion Reassured Irrespective of the Danger or Depth of Grand Emissary or Enemy .
In life we have different categories of people with different characters, opinions and believes, whether as a Christian, a muslim or even a pagan but there is one that binds us together, prayer, everyone prays. Prayer is like network, it is the communication link that binds two or more people together. It is a medium in which a subject connect with his God/god's. The importance is indescribable. When your strength fail you, when you are discouraged and confused in life, when your marriage is in crises, whether good or bad, pray.
Prayer is the bridge between life and death (Lazarus)
Between prisoner and prime minister (Joseph)
Between bareness and fruitfulness(Hannah)
Between sorrow and fame(Jabez)
Between single and married (Esther)
Between poverty and Richie's(Job)
Between hunger and manner (in the wilderness). The list is inexhaustible.

WORLDLINESS IS DANGEROUS

TEXT: JAMES 4:1-4

MEMORY VERSE: "Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God" (JAMES 4:4).

Thomas Guthrie said, "If you find yourself loving any pleasure more than your prayers, any book better than the Bible, any house better than the house of the Lord, any table better than the Lord's Table, any persons better than Christ, or any indulgence better than the hope of heaven - be alarmed."

In this world of changing values and fashions, believers are expected to live a life of non-conformity to the world. We are in the world but not of the world. God warns us against friendship with the world because it pollutes. The goals of the world are self-fulfilment, self-will and pleasure-seeking, all of them are antagonistic to God, His Word and His will.

If you have made heaven your goal, you should steer clear of all forms of worldliness. In dressing, appear clean, graceful, decent and modest. Shun worldly pleasures and amusements such as worldly music, dancing and parties. Loving anything more than God means gaining the world at the expense of your soul, those who love and please God will abide forever.

CHALLENGE: Please God in all things and not self or men.

PRAYER: O God, help me to press on until Jesus comes!
