Mary in the Teachings of the Church | Weekly Formation 3

As the spiritual preparation for the Marian Youth Vigil 2026 continues, the Our Lady of the Parish Youth Ministry gathers once again for its 3rd Weekly Formation, held last August 16, 2026, at the Rosary Center of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, another meaningful and faithful day for our Ka-Lakabay.

This session was facilitated by Ms. Christina Gutierrez, our Parish Catechist and Faith Formation Head, through her presentation, "Mary in the Teachings of the Church." These teaching define Mary's unique role in salvation history and her relationship with her Son, Jesus Christ.
This formation in Marian Dogmas are solemn, a official teaching of the Catholic Church abouth the Virgin Mary. Define as divinely revealed truth in our belief as Marian Devotees.

As we continue this journey under Mary's Mantle, may this formation inspire everyone to grow in faith, hope, and love. Always keeping Christ at the center of thier lives.

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆'𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲 | 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

As the spiritual preparation for the Marian Youth Vigil 2026 continues, the Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Youth Ministry gathers once again for its 2nd Weekly Formation, held last August 9, 2026, at the Rosary Center of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, bringing together its dear Ka-Lakbay for another meaningful time of formation and fellowship.

The session was facilitated by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐳, our parish catechist, through her presentation, "𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬." The participants explored the different titles given to Mary, each reflecting her unique role, virtues, spiritual motherhood, and relationship with Jesus Christ. They were also reminded that these titles point us toward a deeper understanding of Mary and her role in God’s plan of salvation.

The formation also reflected on Marian devotion and how it ultimately leads us closer to God. Through Mary’s example and the messages associated with her apparitions, the youth were encouraged to deepen their prayer life, respond to God’s call, embrace conversion, and bring His love to others.

As we continue this journey under Mary’s mantle, may we be inspired by her faithful example to listen, respond, and grow deeper in our relationship with Christ, always allowing her to lead us closer to her Son.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐔𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 💛

The journey begins with a call. As we prepare for this year’s Archdiocesan Marian Youth Vigil, the Parish Youth Ministry of the Minor Basilica and Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manaoag joyfully presents the Official Logo of the Marian Youth Vigil 2026, a visual expression of this year’s theme: “100 𝒀𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝑼𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚’𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒆: 𝑬𝒎𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑭𝒊𝒂𝒕, 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒖𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔."

More than a symbol or a collection of beautiful elements, this logo tells a story. Every line, color, shape, and detail has been carefully chosen with meaning, reflecting the heart of our celebration and the journey we are about to take as young people. It speaks of our identity as a Marian community, our gratitude for the grace of 100 years under Mary’s mantle, and our invitation to look to Mary as the model of what it means to wholeheartedly respond to God’s call.

At the heart of our theme is Mary’s Fiat—her courageous and trusting YES to God. Her Fiat was not simply a word spoken in the past; it was a response that changed her life and became part of God’s plan of salvation. In the same way, we are invited to discover that God continues to call young people today. Through Mary, we are reminded that saying YES to God is not always about knowing where the journey will lead, but having the courage to take the first step in faith. 💙

And this is where Our Lady of Manaoag becomes especially close to our hearts. As our loving Mother and guide, she continues to call us—not to remain where we are, but to move closer to her Son. Her call invites us to pause, listen, and respond; to open our hearts to God’s plans; and to allow our lives to become a living Fiat. Under her mantle, may we find the courage to answer that call and the strength to continue the journey.

As we unveil this logo, may we also unveil something within ourselves: a renewed willingness to listen, to respond, and to follow. May every element of this logo remind us that we are part of something greater—a community of young people gathered in faith, united by devotion to Mary, and journeying together toward Jesus. 🌹

May Our Lady of Manaoag continue to shelter us beneath her mantle, accompany us in every step, and inspire us to live with the same courage, humility, and trust that marked her Fiat. May she gather us as one youth community and lead our hearts ever closer to Jesus, the center of our faith and the destination of our journey.

The call has been made. Now, it’s our turn to answer. And together, let our YES be heard as we proclaim our official chant:

𝗦𝗧. 𝗗𝗢𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗜𝗖 𝗗𝗘 𝗚𝗨𝗭𝗠𝗔𝗡, 𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗨𝗦!

Meet the saint who reminded the world that truth is best proclaimed with both conviction and compassion.

Saint Dominic de Guzmán (c. 1170–1221) was a Spanish priest whose heart burned with a deep love for Christ and a passion for bringing people back to the truth of the Gospel. At a time when many were led astray by false teachings, he understood that the answer was not anger or force, but patient dialogue, prayer, and authentic witness.

Born into a noble family in Caleruega, Spain, Dominic chose a life of simplicity instead of privilege. During a devastating famine, he sold his precious books—handwritten manuscripts that were incredibly valuable—to feed the hungry, saying, "How can I study from dead skins while living people are dying of hunger?" Even before becoming a renowned preacher, he showed that love for God is inseparable from love for one's neighbor.

He was a man of prayer who spent long nights before the Blessed Sacrament, asking God for the grace to save souls. His preaching was marked by humility, joy, and clarity, inspiring countless people to rediscover the beauty of the Catholic faith.

Recognizing the need for holy and well-formed preachers, he founded the Order of Preachers, more commonly known as the Dominicans. Their mission was simple yet profound: to contemplate the truth and to share with others the fruits of that contemplation. For over 800 years, Dominicans have continued this mission through preaching, education, scholarship, and service throughout the world.

St. Dominic also had a profound devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to Dominican tradition, the Rosary was entrusted to him as a powerful spiritual weapon for preaching the Gospel and leading souls closer to Christ. Whether through this tradition or the centuries of Dominican promotion of the Rosary, his name has become forever linked with one of the Church's most beloved prayers.

His life teaches us that holiness is not only found in extraordinary moments but in faithfully seeking the truth, loving God wholeheartedly, and sharing His mercy with others.

His enduring motto continues to inspire generations:

"Laudare, Benedicere, Praedicare"— "To Praise, To Bless, To Preach."

A reminder that every Christian is called to proclaim Christ—not only from a pulpit, but through a life filled with faith, charity, and joyful witness.

So whether you're a student searching for wisdom, a young person striving to live your faith, or someone longing to know Christ more deeply—St. Dominic reminds us that the truth always leads us to authentic freedom.

As the month of August begins, the Our Lady of the Rosary Parish Youth Ministry also begins its spiritual preparation for the Marian Youth Vigil 2026 under the theme, “𝟏𝟎𝟎 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲'𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞: 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐚𝐭, 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬,” with its 1st Weekly Formation, held last August 2, 2026, at the Rosary Center of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish, gathering its dear Ka-Lakbay for a meaningful time of formation and fellowship.

The session was facilitated by 𝐌𝐬.
