𝐀 𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐒 𝐖𝐄 𝐉𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐄𝐘 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃𝐒 𝐀𝐘𝐃 2026!
With joy and gratitude, we share this heartfelt video message from Most. Rev. Marcelino Maralit, Jr, DD, of the Episcopal Commission on Youth as he warmly greets the Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro Youth Apostolate, especially the young people of St. John XXIII, as we journey together towards AYD 2026.
In his inspiring message, Bishop Junie reminds us of a powerful truth: 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬. The wounds, struggles, pains, dreams, and challenges experienced by many young people today are not unseen by Christ. Jesus carries them with us and invites us to find hope, healing, and strength in His love.
As we prepare for AYD 2026, may we never forget that our wounds do not make us less valuable. Instead, when we bring them to Jesus, they can become a source of healing, courage, and testimony. We are called not only to recognize the wounds of our fellow youth but also to journey with one another—with compassion, understanding, and love.
To the youth of St. John XXIII and the entire Archdiocese of Cagayan de Oro, let us continue this journey with faith and hope. 𝙒𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙙, 𝙮𝙚𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙙. 𝙒𝙚 𝙢𝙖𝙮 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙜𝙜𝙡𝙚, 𝙮𝙚𝙩 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙚. 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙, 𝘾𝙝𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙩 𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙪𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙃𝙚 𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙪𝙨.
