“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” — James 2:17

Active Faith reminds us that believing in God is not just about what we say or what we believe in our hearts. Active faith means letting our faith show through our daily actions by choosing kindness, practicing honesty, and doing our best even when things get difficult.

As we grow in faith, may we allow God to lead us in the way we speak, make decisions, and treat those around us. We don't need to do something big to show our faith, simply an understanding heart, an extending hand, and willingness to be there for someone else can do wonders. This month, may we strive to focus on becoming more active in sharing God’s presence and be a source of support to those around us.

“𝐇𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐚𝐲𝐬.”

Today, October 2, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Guardian Angels, a reminder of God’s loving care through the angels He sends to watch over and guide us. The devotion to guardian angels has been cherished by Christians for centuries, and the feast became part of the universal Roman calendar under Pope Clement X in 1670. More than a celebration of heavenly beings, this day points us toward a God who never leaves us alone.

Our guardian angels quietly accompany us through ordinary moments—when we make difficult choices, face uncertainty, or simply need the courage to do what is right. Their faithful presence invites us to reflect on our own calling to protect, support, and guide others, even through small acts that may go unnoticed. As HSAians, we can live this spirit by being a source of kindness and encouragement in our classrooms, friendships, families, and communities. Sometimes, being there for someone is already a way of sharing God’s love.

May we remember that we are never truly alone, and may we also become a comforting presence to those around us. May their example inspire us to walk faithfully, care selflessly, and trust in God’s presence each day.

Let us pray:
Holy, holy Guardian Angels, guide and protect us. Amen.

𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐣𝐨𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐫.”

Every October 1, we celebrate the Memorial of St. Thérèse of the Child Jesus, who reminds us that we do not always need to do something big to make a difference. Through her “Little Way,” she found meaning in the simple things, showing that even the smallest acts can become meaningful when they are done with love.

As HSAians, we often find ourselves looking for ways to do something meaningful, sometimes forgetting that love does not always have to be huge or noticeable. St. Thérèse reminds us that what matters is the heart behind what we do and the love we choose to give, even in the simplest moments.

May her life remind us to appreciate the little things and to carry love into whatever we do. On this feast, may we learn to live simply, love sincerely, and trust that even our smallest efforts can leave a lasting mark.

Let us pray:
O God, who did inflame with Your spirit of love the soul of Saint Therese of the Child Jesus, grant that we too may love You and make You loved exceedingly. Amen.

HSAians, let us welcome with joyful hearts the visit of the National Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima on October 19-21 as we celebrate Rosary Month 2026.

Let us rejoice in her presence in our school community and pray that PEACE may reign in our hearts.

This month of October, the month of the Holy Rosary, the National Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima from her National Shrine continues the visitation to various churches and communities in the country.

The Queen of Peace will be visiting parishes and educational institutions in the Diocese of Malolos. More information about the schedules will be announced later.

May these visitations of our Glorious Mother and Queen bring us closer to her Immaculate Heart—our refuge and way leading to God. Let us open our hearts and lift our petitions as we welcome the National Pilgrim Image of Our Lady of Fatima.

“𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐥𝐮𝐛𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐩 𝐧𝐚 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐲𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐲𝐨𝐬 𝐚𝐭 𝐈𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧”

Every September 28, we honor St. Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino martyr and the first Filipino saint to be canonized. Born in Binondo, Manila, Lorenzo was a husband and father of three who served in his parish and became a member of the Confraternity of the Holy Rosary. He later traveled to Japan with Dominican missionaries and remained faithful to Christ until his martyrdom in 1637.

St. Lorenzo’s life reminds us that faith is lived through the choices we make each day. His courage and faith in God challenge us as HSAians to remain faithful even when doing what is right becomes difficult. May his example encourage us to live our faith with courage and keep Christ at the center of our lives.

Let us pray:
Almighty God, You bestowed Lorenzo Ruiz the strength to conquer death for the sake of
his faith in You. Through his prayers, help us to follow his example by overcoming all
life’s trials and eventually, increase our hope and love in You. Amen.

Most Holy Triune God, Father, Son, and Spirit,
as we bring these two wonderful days of HSAM Intramurals 2026 to a close, our hearts are full of gratitude.

Thank You for giving us good weather, clear skies, and a safe place to play, allowing all our events to run smoothly and safely. We thank You for the energy, health, and joy that filled our school from start to finish.

Lord, we are thankful for the new friendships made, the laughters shared, and the strong teamwork built across every team. Thank You for every award, victory, and hard work recognized, as well as the good lessons learned through every game. Win or lose, You showed us what real sportsmanship means: to play with all our heart, to win without boasting, and to lose with a good attitude.

As the games come to an end, help us bring this same spirit back into our classrooms and daily lives. Keep us always guided by Your truth and Your peace, so we can continue our school's 89-year tradition of learning and helping others. Bless our school heads, teachers, organizers, student-athletes, and everyone in our HSAian community.

Last September 12, the Ignite Campus Ministry gathered in unity and love to joyfully celebrate the Ignite day 2026. ✨

This event, filled with joy, love, and fellowship, reminds us that serving the Lord requires more than motivation. It calls for a love that remains faithful through challenges and a willingness to offer ourselves to Him even when the journey becomes difficult.

In moments of doubt or uncertainty, may we continue to trust in His plans.

Ignite Campus Ministers, may we serve the Lord with dedication and faith, not only in moments of strength and happiness but also through life’s challenges.

Let us keep our hearts rooted in Him and allow our service to reflect a love that endures.

𝕷𝖆𝖚𝖉𝖆𝖙𝖔 𝕾𝖎, 𝕺 𝖒𝖎 𝕾𝖎𝖌𝖓𝖔𝖗𝖊! 🤲✨

Last September 11, the HSAM community gathered in prayer for the Missa pro Custodia Creationis or the Mass for the Care of Creation coming together in gratitude for the gift of God’s creation and our shared responsibility to care for our common home. We also witnessed the oath-taking of the Family Council, COL, class and club officers for this school year.

Through the Eucharist, we were reminded that creation is a precious gift entrusted to us by God. May this celebration inspire us to become faithful stewards of the Earth, choosing to protect, preserve, and care for all that God has created.

HSAians, let us live our faith not only through prayer, but also through action caring for our common home and becoming responsible stewards of God’s creation.
