Today, August 15, we also commemorate the life of Saint Tarcisius, Patron Saint of First Communicants and Altar Serves.

He was a young Roman altar server in the third century who volunteered to carry the Holy Eucharist to the imprisoned Christians when no deacons were available. When a group of youths came up to him, wanting to see what he was hiding, he protected it and refused to give the Holy Eucharist.

Saint Tarcisius reminds us to have a strong devotion to the Holy Eucharist and to have the bravery and fortitude to protect Jesus Christ and his life. And that faith is not just shown through words but also through actions.

HSAians, like St. Tarcisius, let us stand for what we believe in, be courageous, and do what is right even in difficult situations. Let us remember that age does not limit our capacity to do good things and to make a difference.

Let us pray:
Saint Tarcisius, pray for us, that we may follow your example by defending the honour of
the Blessed Sacrament all the days of our life and even unto death. Amen.

Today, August 15, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. For centuries, Christians have held this belief close through tradition and liturgical celebration, before Pope Pius XII formally declared it a dogma in 1950. Through the Assumption, we are reminded of the hope found in a life completely entrusted to God.

Mary did not know where every โ€œyesโ€ to God would lead. She faced moments she could not fully understand, yet she continued to trust and remain faithful. Her Assumption reminds us that our lives are also part of something greater than what we can see in the present. When the future feels uncertain, Mary gives us an example of faith that does not depend on having every answer.

The Assumption is not only a celebration of Maryโ€™s glory; it also points us toward the promise of eternal life with Christ. HSAians, may we learn from the Blessed Mother to trust God even when the path ahead is unclear. May her Assumption renew our hope and draw our hearts closer to Christ.

Let us pray:
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

HSAians, today, we celebrate the 11th Episcopal Anniversary of the Most Reverend Dennis C. Villarojo, DD, Bishop of Malolos. Since receiving his episcopal ordination in 2015, he continues to serve the Church and share God's consolation His people. He became the fifth Bishop of Malolos in 2019.

May the Lord continue to bless Bishop Dennis with wisdom and strength as he shepherds the Diocese of Malolos. May his ministry remain rooted in Christ and may he continue to lead His people with a faithful and loving heart.

Let us join in prayer for our shepherd and his continued ministry.

A city can be full of people, yet many still carry a quiet sense of loneliness. With so much happening around us, it becomes easy to overlook those who are silently struggling or longing for someone to simply notice them.

The Gospel often begins with an encounter. Before people hear the message of Christ, they often experience it through the way they are treated. A few minutes of your time or a sincere conversation can remind someone that they are seen, valued, and never beyond God's love. Even the smallest encounter can leave a lasting impact on another person's life.

HSAians, never underestimate the difference your presence can make. May every encounter become a chance to bring hope, and may the way we live each day help others experience the love of Christ.

Through their quiet dedication, daily prayers, and loving service, they are able to bring us closer to Jesus and show us what true faith looks like. In their perseverance to serve, we witness St. John Marie Vianneyโ€™s example of selfless love for God and His people.

Let us hold our priests close in our prayers today so that they may remain strong in their relationship with the Lordโ€”a love they faithfully share with all of us. May God bless them with strength, joy, and peace as they continue to care for our school and community.

Knowing what is right is one thing; choosing it is another. Our personal desires can influence the decisions we make, but the gift of Wisdom helps us discern and recognize God's plans for us.

As we begin this week, may the Holy Spirit guide our hearts and minds with His wisdom. May we keep seeking Godโ€™s truth in every choice we make and trust that His ways always lead us to what is good.

Let us pray:
O Holy Spirit, Spirit of Wisdom make us truly wise. Help us to bear in mind that God alone is our first beginning and our last end and that all things must be used as means to bring us to him. May your Spirit of wisdom bring forth the fruits of faith, hope and love in each of us. Amen.
