St. Tarcisius was a young Christian boy who lived in Rome during the 3rd century, at a time when Christians were experiencing persecution under the rule of Emperor Valerian.

In his service to the Church, Tarcisius assisted the priests and was entrusted with the sacred responsibility of bringing the Holy Eucharist to Christians who were imprisoned and could not participate in the celebration of the Mass.

While carrying the Blessed Sacrament, Tarcisius was confronted by a group of people who demanded to know and see what he was carrying. However, he firmly refused to surrender the Eucharist and courageously protected it with his life. He was attacked and eventually died as a martyr, remaining faithful because of his profound love and devotion to Jesus Christ truly present in the Blessed Sacrament.

St. Tarcisius continues to be remembered as a model of courage, faithfulness, and deep love for the Holy Eucharist. He is honored as the patron saint of altar servers, first communicants, and all those who faithfully serve at the altar.

Through intercession of St. Tarcisius and Our Mother; Mary Immaculate Conception, may our desire of our hearts to love and serve the Lord and His people will be our foundation of faith and trust as we serve and give ourselves through the sacrifice of every Mass.

A BLESSED ALTAR SERVERSโ€™ MONTH!๐Ÿค

The Vicariate of Immaculate Conception Ministry of Altar Servers glads to greet you a blessed and meaningful Altar Serversโ€™ Month. The month of August is dedicated to each Altar Servers as we celebrate the Feast of our Patron, Saint Tarcisius of Rome commemorates every August 15 of the year.

May our hearts fill with joy and love this Month of August while humbly continuing to serve His Altar full of gratitude and love of our hearts. Through the intercession of our Blessed Mother, The Immaculate Conception, and Saint Tarcisius may the good thing that the Church are teaching to us might be turn into practice in our daily living.
