โI have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live.โ (Deuteronomy 30:19)
The invitation from Deuteronomy to "choose life" reminds us that every decision we make, including how we spend our time in the digital world, is a choice between what nourishes our spirit and what drains it. In our current time, fasting must address the new realities shaping human life, where constant engagement with social media often absorbs our attention and weakens our interior life. True conversion involves detaching from whatever distracts our hearts from God, including digital content that triggers envy, anger, or vanity. By intentionally pruning our digital environment, we reclaim interior silence and make room for "something better," such as prayer and meaningful real-life encounters. Ultimately, choosing life in the digital landscape means ensuring that technology serves human lifeโnot dominates itโso that we may live in the freedom of Christ.

Jesus, help me choose to follow only what leads my soul closer to Your peace. Grant me the wisdom to prune my digital garden so that only seeds of faith and hope may grow. Amen
