On the evening of August 17, 2026, as the Church celebrated the Feast of Saint Clare of Montefalco, the OAD Lay Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich Chapter joyfully gathered for its Local Chapter Formation. The formation was attended by two Simple Consecrated Members, seven Novices, and four Pre-Aspirants, united in faith and in their shared desire to deepen their Augustinian vocation and commitment to a life of prayer and service.
Held virtually through Google Meet, the gathering commenced at 7:30 p.m. with the solemn celebration of Community Vespers, led by fray John Carlo Ramos (Head – Commission on Liturgy and Augustinian Devotion), fray Marlon Kevin Reyes (Local Chapter Secretary), and fray John Kenneth Lontoc, OADs (Local Chapter Prior). Through the communal prayer, the members were reminded that the presence of God is always with us, and that every formation becomes an opportunity to recognize His loving presence and entrust our vocational journey to His grace.
Following the prayer, the members proceeded to the formation session led by the Local Chapter Prior and Master Formator, Fray John Kenneth Y. Lontoc, OADs, who presented the topic “Augustinian Prayer Life, Part 1: The Liturgy of the Hours.” The session offered a deeper understanding of the importance of the Liturgy of the Hours as a sacred rhythm of prayer, enabling the community to sanctify the hours of the day and remain continually united with God and with the Church.
This gathering served not merely as an occasion for learning, but as an opportunity for each member to renew the spirit of prayer, fraternity, and fidelity to the Augustinian way of life. Inspired by the example of Saint Clare of Montefalco, may the members of the Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich Chapter continue to grow in holiness, deepen their love for prayer, and courageously live out their vocation as witnesses of Christ in the world.
