United Methodist Young Adults Hold Spiritual Retreat and Recreation 2026

The United Methodist Young Adults of Casili United Methodist Church successfully conducted their Spiritual Retreat and Recreation (RNR) on May 22–23, 2026, at Costa Inesita, Dinadiawan, Aurora. Carrying the theme “Faith Voyage: Strengthened in Fellowship,” the activity centered on journeying together in faith, building stronger relationships with God, and deepening connections with one another as members of the church.

The two-day retreat became a meaningful experience filled with worship, reflection, fellowship, and recreation. During the retreat proper, Rev. Lovely Joy B. Belizar served as the retreat master and shared the Word of God through a devotion. Drawing inspiration from the theme of a faith journey, she emphasized that God often uses the deep waters and storms of life to teach valuable lessons and strengthen His people.

Rev. Belizar highlighted the importance of having faith in the Spirit, trusting that God guides His people even when the path ahead is unclear. She reminded everyone that God sees what we cannot see, just as sailors trust their captain while navigating the sea despite not knowing every detail of the journey. Citing Proverbs 3:5–6, she encouraged the participants to trust in the Lord with all their hearts and acknowledge Him in all their ways.

She also spoke about having faith in the shore, reminding the young adults that every believer has a God-given destination and purpose. While delays may occur along the journey, they do not mean denial. Rather, God uses these moments to shape, prepare, and teach His people according to His perfect plan and timing.

The devotion was followed by a series of group dynamics and interactive activities that strengthened camaraderie and fostered deeper fellowship among the participants.

Beyond the recreational activities, the retreat served as a venue for spiritual renewal and personal reflection. It allowed the young adults to pause from their daily routines, reconnect with God, and strengthen their commitment to serving Him and the church community. Through shared experiences, meaningful conversations, and spiritual encounters, the participants were reminded that their faith journey is not meant to be traveled alone but in fellowship with God and one another.

The Spiritual Retreat and Recreation 2026 concluded with hearts renewed, faith strengthened, and friendships deepened, inspiring the young adults to continue their voyage of faith with greater trust in God and commitment to His ministry.

A new start from fear to faith.
“Do not be afraid.”
Choose to trust, choose to believe. Have confident faith and allow God to move in your life. A new beginning starts when you trust the One who conquered the grave.

From pain to grace.
Your pain is not permanent when Jesus is present. Whatever test you face today can become your greatest testimony tomorrow. The cross is empty—because He is alive!

From passivity to purpose.
No more staying stuck in silence and stagnation. Jesus said, “Go and tell.” If you’ve been given a new start, it means you still have a purpose.

Go again.
Serve again.
Dream again.

This Easter, the power of the risen Christ reminds us:
You can start again. 🌅✨

ᴛʜᴇ 7 ʟᴀꜱᴛ ᴡᴏʀᴅꜱ

As we reflect on the Seven Last Words of Jesus on the cross:

1. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
2. “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”
3. “Woman, here is your son… Here is your mother.”
4. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
5. “I thirst.”
6. “It is finished.”
7. “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.”

Each word reflects a journey that speaks into our lives:

A Journey Ends with Forgiveness — Joy Bermudez
A Journey Ends with Salvation — Icee Jenee Bacani
A Journey Ends with Compassion — April Alvarado
A Journey Ends with a Cry of Sacrifice — Jay Ann Retuta
A Journey Ends with Suffering — Jacklyn Joy Quedding
A Journey Ends with Victory — Alleyson Mae Sta. Ines
A Journey Ends with Surrender — Rev. Lovely Joy M. Besa-Belizar

💭 In every pain, there is purpose.
💭 In every sacrifice, there is love.
💭 And in every ending, there is victory in Christ.

May this Holy Week lead us closer to His heart. 🙏

Marching Orders: Follow the King

✨ To follow the King’s instruction
“They did as Jesus instructed.”
Obedience is the first step in marching with the King.
Hindi mo kailangang maintindihan ang lahat—kailangan mo lang sumunod at magtiwala.

👑 To honor the King’s authority
Hari ba Siya sa ating sitwasyon?
Ang tunay na kumikilala kay Jesus bilang Hari ay makikita sa paraan ng ating pamumuhay.

🔥 To join the King’s mission
We are not just called to believe in Jesus—we are called to bring others to Him.
We are saved by the grace of the Lord through faith.
If you are saved, you are sent.
Hindi aksidente na nandito ka—may misyon ka.

🌿 Palm Sunday is not just a celebration—it is a call to action.
Susunod ka ba? Magpapasakop ka ba? Makikibahagi ka ba?

This Holy Week, don’t just attend. Don’t just listen.
March with the Lord.
