The Saints Joachim and Anne Youth Commission (SJAYC) is a religious youth ministry of the Saints Joachim and Anne Parish, Poblacion, Malinao, Albay that focuses on the welfare and holistic development of the children and the youth, in or out of school. Its new name and structure was established on December 16, 2010 in line with the celebration of the Year of the Youth. It is a sub-commission of th

e Parish Pastoral Council under the supervision of the Parish Priest/Administrator and the Spiritual Director. Furthermore, its main objective is to promote the holistic development of the youth in Malinao through spearheading activities and programs that would instill to them the experience of being commune with others and with God. Currently, it has plans and programs initiated that ought to encourage the young to participate and respond to the call of the church. Among the activities it spearheads are recollections (Advent & Lent), summer youth camps, sports fest, youth formations, annual pilgrimages, marian congress, and others. Said activities and programs aim to promote and support the holistic development of the youth of Malinao, and to bring them closer to the Church and to Christ.
